Dr. Spicola is a very kind professional. He make my family feel like he is treating his own family. The staff is wonderful with children too.

Dr Spicola has been my eye doctor for many years and I have always had an enjoyable experience with him. I have astigmatism in both eyes and issues for life including a surgery on my lazy eye at 8 yrs old. He has been one of the best bedside manner doctors that I have ever met ( except perhaps my Dad who of course I am a little biased there ) He takes all the time needed, does a VERY thorough exam and has always been caring and supportive! I would suggest him to everyone and even took my friends daughter there so she could get her first GOOD exam! Hope this helps! I have gone to Dr. Spicola and found him to be very professional and knowledgable. I can't imagine him behaving in the manner described by one review saying he "balled up his fists and spoke in a tone so loud and hateful..." The review fails to give us any set up at all of the situation, not mentioning what might have happened to upset Dr. Spicola so greatly. My family is full of M.D.'s and I and very critical of their 'bedside manners' and have always found this man to be of the highest professional standard.

This doctor displayed an EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL attitude during an appointment in which he insisted that I had follow up appointment the following week that I had not made. I understand that everyone has a bad day sometimes but there is NO excuse for a healthcare "professional" balling up his fists and speaking in a tone so loudly and hatefully that he was
spitting and had me literally in fear over a simple misunderstanding. He then proceeded to yell for us to "leave now". My mother was present during this appointment and was upset to the point of being in tears. I have given myself a month to calm down before leaving this review and I am still stunned at the behavior shown. I question his stability and mental status if he can not clear up simple misunderstandings in even a semi-calm manner. This is completely unacceptable, do not waste your money in this office.

THIS IS THE MOST WONDERFUL, CARING,,, LOVING AND KNOWLEDGEABLE DR. I HAVE BEEN TO.I HAVE BEEN TO FIVE OTHER EYE DRS..WHO WERE RATED GOOD,,, NO WAY .. THIS DR WAS MAGNIFICENT. HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM. ALL THE OTHER DRS SAID,, YOU HAVE THIS. YOU HAVE THAT..ETC.. THIS IS THE ONLY DR THAT DID WHAT HE SAID AND HELPED ME... I LOVE HIM.. THANK YOU... DR SPICOLA....

The kindest, most thorough and truly doctor. He takes time to listen to your needs and concerns and then finds a solution. He explains everything before completing each step. A true professional. Thank you for being the best, Dr. Spicola!

If you have an eye problem besides needing an examination for corrective lenses this doctor is NOT for you. I had a stye that needed lanced as was told that he couldn't lance it and that only a highly qualified "plastic" doctor could do it. For a doctor that advertises implants, cataract, and corrective surgery while you sit in his waiting room is beyond me. I also felt as if the rush was on as he engaged with a family member when he would be home for the day. After that fact I felt rushed in and rushed out with out any relief as to the problem that I had. This was my second visit apart from my initial for a routine examination. If you need more than a examination find yourself a better qualified eye doctor who doesn't push you and your problem off to another doctor. I will NEVER return due to the treatment that I needed but never received.

One of the nicest most professional doctors I have seen in the Huntersville area. Would not hesitate to go to him again. Very thorough, very personable. Did not have to wait long in the office.

I have no insurance, and I feel Dr. Spicola was sensitive to that fact. Not only did he give me excellent service, but I feel he did so at a very fair price. I would definitely recommend him.
