My husband was diagnosed with a brain tumor (GBM)and I couldn't find a neurosurgeon to even bother looking at his medical records. Dr. Spurgas took him in immediately and operated on him. Although my husband only lived for 7 months (because of the severity of the tumor) Dr. Spurgas was the only physician involved who was honest, forthcoming and compassionate about his treatment. Even at the end, he always treated my husband as a human being, not just another patient.

DR. SPURGAS OVERLOOKED THE PAIN MEDICATION LISTED IN MY CHART, THAT I SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN GIVEN AFTER SURGERY. THEREFORE, I SUFFERED SEVERE PAIN FOR AN ENTIRE 8 HOURS POST OP. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED HAD HE READ MY CHART CORRECTLY AND LISTED A DIFFERENT PAIN MEDICATION FOR ME POST OP. NOW HE REFUSE'S TO SEE ME AFTER TWO YEARS, WITH SAME SYMPTOM'S, PRIOR TO LAST SURGERY. MY ADVISE DON'T GO TO HIM.
