I have been a patient of Dr. Dunne's for 12 years. He is kind, gentle, respectful, and I trust him. He doesn't "over sell". His office is clean and pleasant, and his staff reflects his values as well. His love of music always makes me calmer when I hear it playing. I highly recommend him!

My husband and I have seen Dr. Dunne for ten years. His hygienists provide thorough cleaning. Dr. Dunne does not prescribe unnecessary dental work. He sets the tone in the office, which has a quiet soothing atmosphere. When our dental insurance changed, we tried a different dentist and immediately returned to Dr. Dunne.

The dental work was performed very competently and professionally. We promptly paid the full amount due invoices totaling several thousand dollars for bridge work, cosmetic dentistry and general preventive dental care services. Last week there was a disagreement as to the day of the appointment for one of the family members for a cleaning. My calendar indicated it was on Friday. When I brought my mother-in-law for her appointment on Thursday, I was admonished for not also bringing my son for his dental hygiene. We were shocked to receive a letter from Dr. Dunne’s office today notifying us that we are being fired as patients. Dr. Dunne signed the letter but was not personally involved in any of the interactions. Twice before over the yearswe had to cancel appointment within 24 hours. I was upset with my dentist who wanted to send me off to a dental surgeon for pulling out a wisdom tooth which did not need pulling out. He told me that it needed to come out bad and would fall out in four months. I left him, went off to another dentist who did the same number on me referring me to an oral surgeon, and recommending deep gum work by another specialist in the same office. I felt that this was taking advantage of me, an older person, setting me up for several thousand dollars of unnecessary dental work. I discovered Dr. Dunne when I drove by his office and saw his name on a sign. I made an appointment, went to his office, was x-rayed and told that every thing was in good shape, except that I needed a filling and a good and thorough cleaning. Dr. Dunne and his team are very honest; I received an excellent cleaning job and a filling. I sing the praises of Dr. Dunne for his honesty, professional ethics, and excellent professional services.

I found Dr. Dunne 20 years ago when he was probably a resident dentist at Tysons Corner. His friendly, caring personality and cheerfulness were a draw, and he liked to hum along to the music as he worked on me. The humming really drew me to him initially. Later, a periodontist commented on how good the work on my teeth was. He has also been a Washingtonian Magazine "Best Dentist" and is the best dentist I've ever gone to, so when he moved to his own office in Reston, I followed him! The office is very pleasant--even the rest room! The staff is amazingly competent, helpful and sincerely interested in their patients. Even the magazines in the waiting room are excellent reading. Both my husband and I feel that Dr. Dunne is well worth our 10-mile trip (one way) on the Dulles Toll Road. Plus, at age 66, I still have fine, healthy teeth, thanks to Dr. Dunne's care.

Dr. Dunne has been our dentist for almost ten years. He does not prescribe unnecessary services and his touch is soft and gentle. His hygienists give a thorough cleaning. His office atmosphere is quiet and soothing.

Dr. Dunne is the best dentist I have been to. He is very detail oriented and is very gentle with his touch. He and his staff do a great job making sure I am well cared for. The office has a very comfortable feel to it. I would highly recommend this office to others.

Dr. Dunne's receptionist was very efficient and pleasant on a Monday morning. It was a bit of a wait (10:45 for a 10am appointment) but well worth it. They limited the number of Xrays I had to get as a first time patient to as few as possible, going for bitewings instead of a full panoramic. All procedures were fully explained before they did them, and I felt that they were done well. My teeth felt very clean, and the whole procedure was painless. The entire staff was pleasant and took the time to be informative and thorough. Dr Dunne was very personable, well informed and explained things well. He had an excellent "bedside manner." I would recommend this practice to others.

I came to him because my previous doctor is out of network. I came for cleaning, but unsatisfied. He left me while he was doing the cleaning, and he didnt clean all my teeth. I don't recommend this doctor.
