If you like your doctor to sleep during your pelvic exames this one's for you and I'm still waiting on a call back from June 29, 2013 from either Gail or Malviya...good thing I'm not holding my breath.

The best gynecological oncologist on the planet! He has the greatest bedside manner in the office and at the hospital. He is so polite and gentle and treats me, my husband, and my family as if we were his family. Yes the wait is long primarily because he spends as much time as every patient needs. This means he may be tending to a patient at the hospital that may cause him to get into the office late or tending to the patient in the office who needs more than 20 minutes that causes office visits to fall behind. You will never leave his office feeling rushed. I have had several appointments that placed me in the exam room after midnight. I don't care - he is worth the wait! I call in at the time of my appointment, leave a number, and the office calls me when he is ready for me. I am GRATEFUL and GRACIOUS with all the staff and they are caring and kind in return. Four surgeries and several rounds of chemo to date, I would have no other doctor.

Dr. Malviya is a caring doctor and extremely skilled surgeon. The wait time to see him is very long, but he's worth the wait.

My new oncologist told me that my friend who encouraged me to get a second opinion "saved my life"! Dr. Malvyia had infusion therapy done with no port, this is extremely risky and this was not shared with me. If the chemo drugs leak at all onto your tissue it will require skin grafts and putting these drugs into a vein damages the walls of the vein. The primary reason I changed was due to him not following national cancer guidelines for my treatment and recommending a radical hysterectomy when it is not the protocol for stage 2b and not using radiation in my plan of care. If you are in the Detroit area get opinions from Heny Ford and Karmanos, you will be very thankful, as I am, that you did. I would NOT recommend this doctor.

Schedules too many patients. Comes in over an hour or more late to see patients. Waiting time over 4plus hours no consideration for patients or people who come with them

I've been seeing Dr Malviya for 4 yrs now. He is so compassionate and caring for all of his patients. He is dedicated to all of them. He has made me and Ovarian Cancer Survivor, and I'm forever greatful for his knowledge and compassion he has given me. Sure you wait hours for him , but he is worth the wait. Once he knows you, you feel that you can drive from Michigan to California to see him. He is so passionate about his job as an gynoncologist. My husband and I just love him. If you can get past the wait you'll love the way he treats you as a patient.

I have been a patient of Dr Malviya's for about 9 months and I could not have asked for a better physician. He is compassionate and knowledgeable and totally dedicated to his patients. I have waited for 6 hours to see him; however he took his time with me and answered all my questions. He is the only doctor I have met who is in his office at 12:00 midnight and beyond that is dedication.

Simply the best! Yes, there are long waits; yes, his office staff is rude . . . those are things I can live with knowing that I am getting the best possible care. Dr. Malviya is so attentive, commited and knowledgeable - after doing extensive research on other gyn oncologists, his name kept rising to the top. I wanted the best and I got it.
