Straight to the point, no bs, and best of all he’s there to truly help you. Other doctors just listened and provided a temporary solution to surface problems. Dr. Linden just cuts straight to the bone and dives deep to the problem to find a permanent solution.

This is not a Disney version of therapy. Don’t expect to have your problems solved day on day one or to have him do the all the leg work, because he won’t. Don’t expect him to sit there with a clipboard counting down to the 60th minute, because he won’t.

If you want someone to just “listen” and agree with you on everything and not honestly reply or call you out on your bs, then I would recommend talking to a bartender because it would save you some cash.

However if you actually want to solve your problems and stop complaining and blaming other people, then I would talk to his man.

Dr. Linden helped me solve my problems, to solve future problems, and most valuable of all he taught me how to be truly honest with myself and those around me.

Dr. Linden is completely different from any other therapist I've seen (and I've seen quite a few!). He will challenge you, call you out, and make you uncomfortable. He will not ask you questions if you have nothing to say. He is direct, to-the-point, and efficient with his therapy. I have received more guidance from him in a few months than I have received in YEARS with other therapists. I had unhealthy ways of thinking and Dr. Linden confronted me directly on it. He did not allow me to rant nor he did not ask me, "how has your week been?"

He helped me to connect with my 4 year old son and improved our relationship in such a deep, profound way. My relationship with my spouse has also improved tremendously due to the increased patience and manner of communication I now possess thanks to Dr. Linden.

In summation, Dr. Linden is a therapist for adults who want to MAKE the changes they want to see in their lives. He will not do any work for you, he will simply guide your thinking and help you realize things that you never did previously. He will never enable unproductive/unhealthy thoughts or behaviors, which is what has happened with ALL of my past therapists. I have a long way to go, but I am very happy with Dr. Linden. Try him out!

Interacting with Dr. Linden was different from any other communication I ever had before.  He was helpful and asked questions and gave unbiased observations and analysis. He is very experienced and pays attention most of the time. He pushed me to face problems I had not wanted to face, be ready to be pushed out of your comfort zone. You will get out of therapy only as much as you are willing to put in. Dr. Linden will not hold your hand or do the work for you; he will push you forward and help you analyze your choices, but you need to do the walking and mapping out.

If you are ready to work and make changes, Dr. Linden is the therapist for you. He is honest, direct, and will give you practical things you can work on. If you want someone to just listen to you vent and cosign your BS, I suggest finding someone else. As others have said, his approach/demeanor is old school and not the norm these days (which in my opinion, is a huge compliment). I disagree with another reviewer about Dr. Linden disliking women. Dr. Linden primarily sees my husband, and I come to every-other appointment or so. Both my husband and I joke that Dr. Linden likes me better. (We think it's because I have worked with a no-nonsense therapist before and I understand his process, while this is my husband's first experience with it. ) Dr. Linden is an actual Psychologist who isn't afraid to say the hard things to you, but it's obvious it's because he really does care more about you getting better than he cares about you liking him every visit. He can and will help you make necessary changes in your life to live more effectively. If you understand that change takes work and is not fun, you will get along with him well. Don't misread this review -- he is not mean, and he is compassionate. But for those who have done typical (non)therapy these days, he is a very different experience. Give him a chance to work his magic, do the work, and you will be surprised how fast your life improves.

Dr. Linden is very direct and gets right to the point. It is a lot of work but we’ll worth it. He will really make you think about what you’re doing. Very helpful.

I've been seeing Dr. Linden for a little over 2 years. I was initially hesitant, as his demeanor and approach stand in stark contrast to psychologists I've seen in the past. But in this context, some discomfort is not a bad thing; it stands to reason that pushing past your comfort levels is going to feel strange and unfamiliar. He is straightforward, blunt when necessary, and will not hesitate to call you out if he feels you're not being honest with either him or yourself. He encourages awareness of how you present yourself and vigilance about making improvements toward greater self-confidence. If you find yourself in a particularly vulnerable and raw emotional place, Dr. Linden is compassionate and sympathetic, and he will guide you to channel those feelings into motivation for change. It's hard, sometimes frustrating work - but that's what it takes to make progress. I appreciate his persistence and emphasis on personal accountability, it makes for incredibly effective therapy.
