Over past 13-15 years, Dr. Matt Reckmeyer has put my hubby and me back together. 4 knee surgeries, and one broken femur. Outstanding skill.

This review is about an experience I had a long time ago, but it has affected me ever since. When I was in high school, sometime between 1986 and 1988, I was having trouble with my knees. My physician referred me to Dr. Reckmeyer. After taking some x-rays, he stated that I had weak knee joints, common in teenage girls, and I would outgrow them by my twenties. This was a complete misdiagnosis. After years of knee issues and other joint issues, I received a diagnosis of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (hypermobility) in 2016. Even if he was not the appropriate doctor to diagnose this, he should have been aware of it and referred me to the right specialist. The doctor who did diagnose me asked me several questions which helped to tie together symptoms I have had all of my life, which Dr. Reckmeyer obviously did not look into. If I had been properly diagnosed all those years ago, I could have taken an appropriate course of action then, instead of trying to scramble to prevent more damage at this point, after so many years of doing things incorrectly. Other doctors I have seen since his incorrect diagnosis were not specialists, so they assumed he was correct, up until 2012 when I was told I had a connective tissue disorder, starting my quest to find out more.

Dr. Reckmeyer is an outstanding physician! I highly recommend him. I had the best knee replacement experience you can possibly have. I wouldn't go to anyone else.

I have been a patient of Dr. Reckmeyer's for many years. I have had quite a few surgeries done by him-2 knee replacements, 2 rotator cuff repairs and a hip replacement. He is a wonderful, caring doctor who is quite talented and knows his stuff! I would not want to see anyone else!

I had a RTKR on 6/30/14. I'm doing great already. Because of Dr. Reckmyer I'm getting my life back.

Very courteous, straight to the point. Doesn't mess around on treatment.Dealt with work comp people for me. I've had 3 shoulder surgeries from him and will go to him every time! Could not recommend a better ortho dr or staff!

Very diligent doctor. Very thorough. Very trustworthy (even though I am skeptical of many MD's). He takes his time for the patient to understand the prognosis and allows the patient to ask many questions about a possible procedure.

Great doctor. Knowledgeable and answers questions. Usually late but know he is taking the time to talk to patients. Would recommend.
