Absolutely one of the worst medical experiences of my life. Staff was unhelpful and disregarded a room full of irritable patients who were waiting more than an hour past their scheduled appointment time. Only after I complained about waiting so long was I seen. The doctor was in his office on his phone as there is a room full of patients waiting. When he examined me, he was a nervous wreck. The room was in disarray, with papers all over his tiny mobile laptop table. While examining me, he accepted an incoming phone call on his cell. I asked him a few questions about my MRI upon which he could not answer. He was quite jumpy, on edge and simply uncomfortable to be around. This is a Lenox Hill related physician and I am quite dissatisfied and annoyed that I waited over two hours to be seen by such an unprofessional human being.

I find him to be the most caring empathetic dr I have ever met in my life. The fact that he doesn't pull punches is what makes him even better. He not interested In a popularity contest. He is genuinely interested in making you better. I wish more people were like him. The works would be a much better place .

Run away as fast as you can. Told my primary doc my symptoms are psychosomatic while telling me they are a post viral syndrome. Saying - "you look great - all you need is a vacation." called me when I did not keep my follow up appointment scolding me for not coming in. Why do I need to follow up if there is nothing wrong with me? Because I like paying $50 for no reason? Go away you fool.

I did not have an appointmen, however the doctor saw me right away. I waited in the waiting room for an hour but still was happy to get in even though he had several other patients. Speaks very fast and with an accent however he seemed very knowledgeable and was able to diagnose my problem almost immediatedly.

i had an emergency and Dr. Schick was able to see me right away, but to my dismay Dr. Schick decided within 20 seconds what was wrong with me. It did not matter how many times I tried to explain my symptons and the fact that two other physicians disagreed with him also did not bother him at all. he spoke too fast and seemed to just want me out of there. Needless to say, I never went back to him and found another doctor.

I LOVED Dr. Schick. The wait time is rather ridiculous as the other posts mentioned, but he was very attentive and caring. His bedside manners are great, and I would rather wait for a doctor with good bedside manners than go right in with a jerk. He talked to me. Some of the wait resulted from having to do an EEG (I went for headaches), which I thought was a great idea! He has daily emergency service from 7pm-8pm. How many doctors can you find like that?! I would most definitely recommend him!

Dr. Schick cares about his patients. He is very knowledgeable but sometimes shies away from medication that could provide relief (such as muscle relaxants). He orders MRIs only when he believes them to be absolutely necessary. He has saved my insurance company enough money to get an Aexcel award (for achieving "cost-efficiency" standards). However, the wait times have been excessive (>2hrs after appointment time) in a crowded and stuffy waiting room. Record keeping is poor: I saw him 4 times over a span of 3 years and never had any information on my prior visits (diagnosis, results) available. This may hinder proper diagnosis. Overall, he is very knowledgeable and I recommend him.

This Doctor spent an average of less than 1 minute with me all four times I visited him. He took up to four phone calls while he was in the examining room with me. After arriving 30 minutes early for my fourth visit and waiting three hours in a packed waiting room, I timed him with a stop watch. He spent 30 seconds in the room with me and billed my insurance company $500. He misdiagnosed my nerve damage and conflicted his partner doctor's direct findings on neurologic tests. His partner told me after doing an EMG test that I had nerve damage to my shoulder "originating" at the point of the surgery site of a recent upper back operation. Dr. Schick told me I had carpal tunnel in one hand and tried to send me to an Occupational Therapist. Needless to say, I will never return.
