I was looking for a woman doctor and came to this office. However, each time I went, I never felt excited about my pregnancy they way I had during appointments with my first pregnancy. All they spoke to me about was a list of what can go wrong and wanted me to have a million tests (basically all of which you have to go to Quest for--super inconvenient). I am not high risk but that's how they mde me feel. The nurse was responsive anytime I called but I felt so rushed and pressured by Dr. Brown. I ended up switching halfway through my pregnancy and was hit with a big fee. I am 100% more comfortable at my new practice and can relax more...oh and there are no hour long waits!

Dr Brown's office is probably the most unprofessional doctors office I have ever visited. Let's begin with her staff who due to the lack of enclosed office space shout patients personally information back and forth to one another. The waiting room located directly to the right of the open office and is the perfect place for you to hear everyone's private business. Dr Brown herself is a "nice person" I suppose, however she is only out for your money not your health. Pretty concerning considering she's a doctor who is suppose to be helping women. For example she pushed for me to take a birth control(Beyaz) with known horrific side effects all because she had a bunch of free samples. She did not take time to listen to me as I exampled I was fearful of this specific brand and wanted to try something different. Later when I returned for prenatal care her staff would ask me the most unprofessional questions about my pregnancy, such as "how are your parents taking this news?" Although this was a surprise pregnancy I found this to not only be rude and invasive but extremely unprofessional. My body, my choice! When I finally attempted to leave the office they hit me with the most absurd fees for leaving halfway through my pregnancy. For me to obtain my medical records from them I had to pay a large fee, something my new doctors office has told me is not necessary but specifically to make a profit. This doctor was more worried about making a dime off me rather than being concerned that her patient did not feel comfortable in at her office and because of this was leaving. Avoid this place at all costs and find a doctor who actually listens and cares for YOU the patient not just their wallet!

Dr. Brown's office illegally debited my HSA card. I did sign a release, but I wrote on it "do not use without my prior authorization" and they did anyways. I never received a bill in the mail nor a phone call. She did not even have the decency to advise me, let alone my have authorization, before she debited my bank account!

Terrible, just terrible. Stay away if you can. The worst doctor we've ever had to deal with. Fine if you just go along and don't have any problems but as soon as there are any, even minor, she shows her true colors as unprofessional, rude and selfish. Tried to force us to do premature induced labor when there was no good reason to do it. I wonder how many premature births and ruined lives she is responsible for. If you read carefully the positive reviews, it will be clear that most if not all of them are planted by her. As a matter of fact, she is so bad that if you just try to leave a feedback here, ratemds.com will not let you do that unless you have an account and are logged in which is not needed for other doctors.

I have been a patient of Dr. Brown for 29 years! I have followed her wherever she went because she is the BEST! I have several friends and family members who love her too! She delivered all 3 of my children (Vaginal, C-Sec, Vaginal). Now my daughter is a patient. I started seeing her because of a terrible experience with another doctor. She was kind and thoughtful and is always supportive! I recently went through a very difficult medical situation that no one should have to go through and I am glad she was there for me! She is professional and very knowledgeable. I can't believe some of the comments I've read. All I know is that I have seen her longer than any other patient and I wouldn't go anywhere else. I am glad she is here for my daughter. I am sorry that others have such terrible things to say but I know that she gave me the best gifts ever - my 3 children and I am lucky she was with me through all of it!!!

Very shocked by the negative reviews here about Dr. Brown. I found her to be extremely knowledgeable and professional throughout my pregnancy and when she delivered my first baby via c-section earlier this year at Norwalk Hospital. She promptly responded after I called her answering service after hours when I experienced a few issues with my pregnancy. My only criticism is that some of my prenatal appointments seemed rushed especially on days that the office was backed up with patients. Sue, the nurse in her office is wonderful. She is extremely patient, upbeat and clinically very good. Overall, Dr. Brown is not a hand-holder or coddles patients. This does not mean she has no bedside manner. She is direct and probably a better fit for patients who prefer quality care over being coddled.

Run Away from this doctor!I was in labor for 24 hours b/c she tried to induce me when i wasn't even dilated. The doctors in the hospital said i was not ready to give birth and to go home. But she wanted me to have the baby right there and then and loaded me with drugs. Pitocin first. That didn't work, so she administered a stronger one vaginally. When i told her on the phone that i wanted to go home as per other doctors, since i was not dilated, she meanly said, i'm your doctor, and i know what i'm doing. Since this was my first child, and i had no advocate to advise me, i went along with this nightmare. She puctured my water without letting me know. Had to find out the hard way when i stood up. She kept on giving me drugs. The funny thing is she preferred gossiping with this old nurse in my room for 1 hour. My son was born not breathing b/c all the meds she gave me and in NICU.When i questioned my birthexp. she fired me as a patient. What was the Dr. afraid of?

Terrible Terrible Doctor, uncaring, mean-sprited woman-never go to her she will rip your heart out and eat it for breakfast.

I think Dr. Brown is great! I'm about to have my first baby and she is always friendly during my visits. She has helped prepare me for the upcoming birth and happy to answer any questions. The nurses and staff are all incredibly nice and accommodating. I would recommend her to anyone. Some of the negative reviews on here must be talking about a different Dr. Brown, because she's wonderful :)

I am so surprised to read such negative reviews of Dr. Brown. She delivered both of my daughters. I think she was fantastic. I recently moved out of the area or I would definitely go back to have my third!
