I have been seeing Dr. Wolthusen on and off for over 10 years. She helped me through several major depressive episodes. Two years ago when I went off my medication, she helped me go from suicidal to functioning and (gasp!) happy. She treated me like a whole person and not a diagnosis. With her encouragement, I learned to feel better about myself and how to problem solve. She is warm, friendly and very understanding. I haven't "needed" to see her since. I have the tools to function without her, but I would definitely make an appointment with her if I needed to in the future.
