This Doctor started out pretty good, interested in making my pain stop. Then once what he tried didn't work he didn't want to proceed until the insurance co paid the claim. His office staff is the reason it took 8 times and 4 1/2 months for the ins to pay a pre approved claim, in the mean time he restricted my work hours- which I needed but then a week later told the disability specialist I could return to work without restrictions, so I lost my short term disability pay. I moved on to a doctor. I knew something was up when I read the reports and he said he did all this testing and no once did he touch me yet wrote up on reports that I had no heart murmur no enlarged thyroid which I have both. I swear the man does not own a stethoscope yet the report states he listened to my heart, listened to my lungs and other sounds, like the arthritis in my knees simply doesn't exist per his report. A doctor that is in it for the money alone. No thank you I moved on and won't return.

Been seeing for 3 years. I find him to be straight up with information. Good or bad. I would highly advise him to a friend.

He's been my Pain Doc for 4 years. He's always been kind to me. I had the nerve heating procedure last year. I was told sedation might make it not work as well because he needed me to have a clear head during the procedure to answer his questions. It wasnt fun, but not bad. It did give me relief for almost 8 months. I needed an epidural last week, which has also helped. I hope he doesnt go anywhere because I need him!

If I have to make my comment polite, the truth cannot be told about this man. He belittled me in front of two of his surgical assistants because, as he put it, "With all the crying you did, it sounded like I was killing you". What a wonderful bedside manner. I had a radio frequency medial branch block for my severe scoliosis & kyphosis. I had 8 long needles inserted into my spinal column. You do that and see what noises you make. Not only that, but I was set up on orders to prep for sedation for the procedure. He asked if I wanted it before we started, I asked kindly to do so, and then he turned around and swayed the staff to wait on the sedation until we were way into the procedure. Can you believe this? This person is out there, treating others like this, I'm sure. He needs to retire and move on to a job he is better suited for; because he is just crafty and rude as can be.

Good Doc!!!!!!! Ive had back pain for 5 years, my diagnosis is stenosis. Ive been to chiropractors, surgeons, and my personal doctor has had me on medications for years. Dr. Clinefelter was the first one that took time to explain why I had pain, and what was we could do about it, but also what wasnt possible. I thought he was straight forward and I liked that. He listened and gave me easy to understand answers. The injections he gives me every few months help, and I havent had any problems. I have been very happy with Dr. Clinefelter.

Let me first say, I understand that a pain management doctors job is hard. Always wondering who is or who is not abusing meds. With that said, This doctor has treated me for a very long time, and has a habit of letting his fears keep him from performing his job. I will simply say I have NEVER abused any medication, but have had an occasional situation (3 times), that I needed my prescription 1-3 days early due to vacation or emergencies. My home town has a single pharmacy and does not carry my unique script. Dr. Clinefelter has prescribed the medication early, BUT not without all kinds of trouble. Different answers from different nurses, and then being talked down to by the Dr. for bringing up the discrepency. On multiple occasions, he makes a reccomendation for treatment, then forgets he made the reccomendation. He is a capable surgeon, but has the worse bedside manner of ANY Dr I have evr met. Then, when you complain to him, he drops you as a patient. Unbelievably, Narcissistic.
