I WENT TO AN INITIAL EVALUATION FOR POSSIBLE FUTURE ISSUES. DR. PRUITT'S STAFF WAS NOT VERY WELCOMING. HE DID NOT INTRODUCE HIMSELF TO ME AT ALL. AFTER THIS VISIT, WHICH WAS ABOUT 1.5 HOURS LONG, I LEFT WITH AN ACHING HEART AND UNEASY GUT FEELING. IN THE PARKING LOT, I GOOGLED REVIEWS ABOUT HIM AND SAW WHERE HE TRIES TO SELL THE SAME DENTAL PLAN TO MULTIPLE PEOPLE W/ LARGE SUMS OF MONEY. HE BRAGGED ABOUT HIS TIKTOK FOLLOWING AND INFLUX OF MESSAGES. HE DID NOT MAKE ME FEEL COMFORTABLE AT ALL. HE USES HIS "THERAPY DOG" AS A DISTRACTION. ALL OF THIS SEEMED LIKE A MONEY SCAM. IT WAS GOING TO COST ME $18K FOR THE WORK HE WANTED TO DO, WHICH WAS TO PULL MY FRONT TEETH IMMEDIATELY, MULTIPLE CROWNS, AND CREATE A ZIRCONIA BRIDGE, WHICH SEEMS TO BE ALL HE CAN DO, ACCORDING TO HIS POSTS. HE ALSO BASHED MY CURRENT DENTIST ABOUT THE WORK SHE HAD DONE. PLEASE DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM, AND GET A SECOND OPINION!!!

Dr. Pruitt is the rudest doctor ever. He is very arrogant and will not listen. I went for consultation and he said I had to have all my teeth removed and like a dummy I didn’t get a second opinion. To make a long story short, he didn’t just remove all my teeth gently, he literally knocked them out. I was a bloody mess and he put dentures in immediately. My gum were bleeding, had stitches and he just kept forcing the dentures in. After 2 sets of dentures they never fit and i paid $16,000 upfront. He knew how unhappy I was and I told him I wanted my money back and he said,” well that’s not going to happen.” Please believe me, don’t use this person.

Dr. Pruitt told me that I needed 8 cavities (I've only ever had 1 in my life). After reading these reviews I should have gotten a second opinion. I went today to have them filled. He all but refused to give me numbing shots for them even though I was assured by his support staff that he "almost never does it without" it was a very uncomfortable experience. Not to mention his bedside manner is terrible, he is very rude to his staff and just all around not a nice guy.

Great Dentist! Did an incredible job matching my new front tooth to blend with my other teeth. Also did my Botox for my grinding. I am finally out of pain!! Office staff is a incredible team and very welcoming.

Stay far away!!! Was told I needed tons of cavities and crowns. Got a second opinion and was told I didn’t need any work. Scam artist and needs to be removed.

I haven’t been to the dentist in over 5 years. I went in a couple of weeks ago to see Dr Pruitt @ Vestavia Family Dentistry & Facial Aesthetics! WOW! Best Decision I could have ever made! The hygienist did an incredible job doing my cleaning and Dr Pruitt showed me every tooth that had a problem both by showing me the xrays and by showing my pics of the teeth on the TV in the room. We decided what was most important and what could wait for a couple of months. He asked my Input regarding the best days and times for me because I have a newborn baby. We got started on the work this past Wednesday and the appointment went great! Laughing gas and I never felt the shot. If you have been putting off going to the dentist, please go see Dr. Pruitt. He is courteous, funny, professional and painless. I wish I hadn’t neglected my teeth for so long but I am so glad that I am getting everything fixed and so grateful that my new dentist is Dr. Pruitt! 5 ⭐️s!!!

Dr. Pruitt is very exspensive. He made my top & bottom dentures which looked hideous .I over paid for his services because he gave me his word they would be just what I wanted. I specifically told Dr. Pruitt on multiple occasions what I wanted and did not want in a denture. He delivered the exact opposite. Multiple time I voiced my concerns but Dr. Pruitt refused to correct his mistakes. I warn anyone that is considering Dr. Pruitt- don't waste your money. His bottom line is the money, not the patients satisfaction.

Dr. Pruitt is an absolutely incredible dentist. My previous dentist had told me at two separate appointments that he could not find anything wrong with a tooth that had been hurting me for over 7 months. After Dr. Pruitt took his xrays and did a very thorough examination, he indeed found that the tooth was cracked. I knew there was a problem and all that Dr. Pruitt has to do was replace an old silver leaking filling in the tooth with a tooth colored filling. By that night I was finally able to chew without any pain on this tooth. I am so glad I decided to change to Vestavia Family Dentistry and start seeing Dr. Pruitt. He is so personable and caring and took his time explain and showing everything to me. He is the best!!
