I have found Dr. Demander to be an exceptional counselor and therapist. He has much experience and has worked helped our family enormously. These other reviews' language sounds like they were written by the same person.

He just didn't have the expertise to help us with things...advise, but little counseling.

Gave superficial advice, but little counseling. Recommended the same driving school and college about 20 times, neither of which were of interest. School improvement approach: tell my kid no Ds, no Fs, no missing assignments three times a session...and to do her homework at the same time everyday (which is totally impractical for my kid's life). No real technique though. Never remembered what was said from week to week either. Seemed to shy away from the tough stuff that really needed work. very unhelpful all the way around.

Used a cookie cutter approach to our problems and did not really delve into life issues. Appeared to want to use power of persuasion to get people to change rather than real "work" for either party. Listening skills need work: talks over people; forgets much of what was said previously; doesn't ask enough questions to draw the right conclusions (made assumptions). At times triangles parties. Would not work with previous providers or even take their previous work into consideration moving forward for us.
