I have consulted with four psychiatrists, three psychologists, one clinical social worker and two marriage counselors over the course of my lifetime. Dr. Mercer was the most insightful and helpful of all the mental health professionals that I interacted with. She listens carefully, and makes direct and helpful suggestions without being condescending. She seemed truly concerned about my well being. When she left Philadelphia, the state of Pennsylvania lost out and the state of Nebraska benefited, but all her old patients, including me, take solace in knowing that the State of Nebraska will never steal Michael Vick from us.
