Have been a patient for over 10 years now. If your in a rush, go see someone else. I am a 73 year old male and the doctor is the most attentive I have ever met. I have had many problems over the years and he will always take time to listen and to explain what it is he wants to do. I would rather wait an extra 1/2 hour and not be rushed out after 10 minutes because he is behind. The best choice for QUALITY CARE!

I must say I very much must disagree with the gentlemen who have left previous ratings of Dr. Hanlon. The good Doctor is a wonderful man who took his time to sit down with me on a Saturday and discuss treatment for the cancer that is afflicting me. He was very knowledgable, very kind, and willing to explore treatment options with me; rather than throw me into some specialist or surgeon like many Doctors do these days. He also came to see me personally in the hospital I was admitted too last year even though it was almost an hour away from where he practices medicine. He has been my favorite Doctor for a few years now, and I would not trade him for anyone. While I will admit his nurse is not always on top of her paperwork, and paying cash does wear after awhile. Docotr Hanlon is much better than any mainstream physcians I have ever meet. I would highly recommend him to anyone, especially my fellow Baby Boomers, his knowledge in agding medicine is exceptional.

Never on schedule! Phone contact is non-existent as is follow up calls. Dr. Hanlon has no powers or recall, meaning I've seen him several times and each appointment is as if it was the first time he saw me. Wasted more time on going over basic info. that it left little time for new issues. Nice guy but wrong profession. Too many good MDs out there that one shouldn't need to worry about sitting in a waiting room for 45 minutes minimum for a scheduled appointment, having to remember to bring cash or a check because they haven't discovered credit cards yet, and having to prove payment later down the road because his wife keeps the books and loses the receipts! Nothing more frustrating then needing to call your MD and always getting a machine!

They are very slow, poor service, and pretty much stuck in the 1980s. They never answer their phone, and it takes a few days for a call back. Don't even have a credit card machine. When I need to fill a prescription it takes them 4-5 days to either call me back or my pharmacy. I've had to leave an appointment twice b/c i was waiting in a room for an hour before anyone came to see me. He's a nice guy...seems fairly knowledgeable but for the $$ we pay for insurance... you should go somewhere else

I was a patient of Dr. Hanlon when he was practicing in Mass. Put simply-he saved my life. I had a bleed from a cavernous angianoma while he was out on vacation and his replacements were hesitant to order an MRI. His nurse called him on vacation-he called me back within minutes and told me to go to the hospital-he had scheduled an MRI. The scan showed it had ruptured and I had an extreme amount of blood on my brain. He recommended my surgeon, Dr. Oglilvy at Mass General and the surgery went well and I am fine today! I owe a lot to a very vigilant, competent and concientious doctor. I observed that my brain surgeon had a lot of respect for Dr. Hanlon's input in my care. I missed him terribly when he moved- you are so lucky to have him in New Hampshire Anne Smith

The best doctor I have ever seen. He takes the time to discuss your concerns and his follow up is very personable! My only regret is that his office does not accept my new insurance.

My mom sees Dr. Hanlon. She talks a lot, but he takes the time to listen to her. He left one practice and opened his own, and I think it was so he could have time with his patients. He took care of my Dad when he was dying; what a kind and compassionate man. He's also very knowledgable and thorough, but in my mind, the most important gift he has is the gift to listen and to care. He's particularly good with old folks. Highly recommended.
