Best doctor I have dealt with over the years. He is a proponent of biological causes of most mental illness and works with medication more than therapy. If you are looking for someone to prescribe appropriate medication and work to get it right, there is no one better. If you are interested in more cognitive approaches, he's not for you.

I'm sure Dr Kezlarian has helped many people, I'm also sure he's turned just as many off with his personality. He is obviously intelligent but does not listen well, dismisses your experiences, is not quick to explain what and why he's doing, and lastly spent about 10 minutes questioning me on atheism. What if I was wrong? Did you know there was another man on a cross that accepted Jesus at the last minute? I fail to see what that had to do with anything. It was not in regards to any type of support from community or religious organization, nor spiritual connection. Basically telling me I was wrong. Was not very professional in that I waited over 40 minutes without being told he was running late. The office staff had already left so I was sitting in an empty lobby. After knocking on the door another doctor in the office brought him out. I don't know how long I would have waited otherwise. He did not apologize. I can see how he clicks with some people. If you are not one of those people however he can be dismissive

I have known Dr Kezlarian for over 20 yrs. extremely intelligent and I would send anyone from my immediate family too him!

This man performed ECT (Electroconvulsive Treatment) on a brilliant, beautiful 30 year old woman. Doctor knew ECT had no lasting benefits to help depression but WOULD DAMAGE her BRAIN FROM ELECTRICITY. Dr. K (along with the psychiatrist, Dr. Herzog Belkin) DESTROYED her brain for PROFIT. ECT did nothing for this young woman but destroy any possibility of a future for her. She lost chunks of her memory and ability to remember. She no longer has a photographic memory. She lives off of disability because you two greedy human took advantage of her vulnerability and INABILITY TO MAKE AN INFORMED CONSENT. SHAME ON YOU. I am so HAPPY lawsuits are starting for survivors of ECT and Doctors who knew better. I can NOT WAIT TO SEE BOTH OF YOU GET YOURS. HOPE YOU ROT.

This guy needs to retire! Many disparaging remarks! Insulted both me and my family as well as my heritage! So many assumptions! Helped me right off the cliff, so to speak! Karma is real Doc! Racist, jerk in my opinion!

Dr. Kezlarian knew what was wrong with me right away. He is also a most caring and personable individual, but not an enabler.

Arrogant and self-important. Drones on and on about himself and other patients (not using names, of course), and brags about his own moral superiority using stories that, in my mind, don't illustrate that at all. Tends to listen poorly and then give lectures about topics that aren't relevant to you. I also find the photos of the Pope and Bush family displayed so prominently in his office to be off-putting. He's of course entitled to believe in whatever he wants, but I don't need to sit staring at religious or politicially-inclined photos when I'm in a psychiatrist's office.

Dr. Kezlarian is an intelligent doctor who is not always be 5 star worthy in all areas. He may not always hear what is being said, but no one does, do they? He can seem a bit full of himself at times, but it is this confidence which gives him the stamina to go the long haul with patient's who really need his kind of help. When I meet with him I may feel misunderstood but never do I feel he is not listening. And he tolerates when told he is not hearing what needs to be heard. I never feel pressure to leave his office until I have been able to share all I need. He also does not only look at medication as an only method of help.
I cannot always reach him after hours through the number he has provided. This is annoying but not enough to stop seeing him.
