Excellent knowledge and excellent listener. Spends a lot of time with the patient so I’d rather wait and not be rushed through the appointment! Can often cure a medical problem without harmful pharmaceuticals that often create major problems after fixing the primary illness. If you want quickie appointment that is totally paid for by insurance don’t use this Doctor. If you want a cure there is no Dr more knowledgeable or compassionate than Dr. Vinitsky! A real find!

I've been a patient of Dr, Vinitsky for over 8 yrs, he was a life savior! I had suffered with chemical sensitivity for years and had been tested and treated for a variety of symptoms by my primary physician with no relief or answers, including being prescribed anti depression drugs. After being referred to Dr. Vinitsky by another environmental illness specialist, Dr. V. did a battery of tests and continues to do blood testIng to keep track of my vitamin levels etc..; however I've never felt that this was excessive, rather scientific follow up. Dr. V does spend a lot of time with each patient so be prepared to wait for your turn or call ahead and check on his availability. I've always been grateful for his attention to my issues and treatment. He is a concerned physician who is always seeking answers to improve patient progress. He does recommend a lot of dietary supplements but has always given instructions to check on line for the best price. Recently he has offered private label combination medications to cut down on multiple meds, but I've never felt pressured to switch from my on line suppliers. It should be noted, in my case, many of these are meds he also takes for his health issues.

WATCH out for overbilling: the doc loves to give one-on-one long lectures, complete with powerpoint slides like the many academic conferences I have attended. I listened politely, even when he repeated it over again and then redid the same long lecture on my second visit, because I didn't want to be rude. When I expressed my concerns several times during my visit about being charged over and above the copay because the visits were running so long, and explained that I couldn't afford to pay out of pocket (he charges over $400 per hr!) he assured me repeatedly he wouldn't do that to me--4 months later and I get a bill for exactly that: for sitting there politely listening. At $400/hr. I went to the office but he refused to see me to answer my question about why he promised me specifically that he WOULD NOT charge me over the copay. My insurance paid him in full, and told me I'm not responsible for the rest at $400/hr. He still is charging me this and sending me to collections.

Not sure if the Dr is aware how badly things are handled in his office.I was told about several tests by the staff, some to take home was given $amounts for those & I turned down a few that I said I can't afford. They took blod but I was not told what tests were being requested nor $amounts.Turns out after I get not 1 but 2 bills for bloodwork, and while at the office they say I can try the ins for the bloodwork or any of the altern. tests. One blood test is a genetics test-I had no idea about! It's irresponsible to take blood for a genetics test and NOT tell someone? Was billed $35 copay but they reported to ins I paid $20.The lab says we tell the drs you can't bill ins for these tests there are no codes. But they don't tell patients. Then vitamin tests that I didn't know about until I saw the bill thru ins.My current dr did vit tests through labcorp, cost me nothing! the genetics test was $435 and the vit test over $400.They emailme the bill for the vit test would be nulled- it was not.

Dr. Vinitsky was the first doctor I went to when I was very ill and couldn't find out what was wrong with me. He is a very caring and understanding doctor, but he goes a little overboard on the vitamins. Most people I have spoken to who have seen him have said the same thing. They have to pay out of pocket for vitamins that he sells at his office and it's EXTREMELY expensive because he suggests an entire page FULL of vitamins that you should take to get well. Not that vitamins are a bad thing, but some people have health issues that vitamins are not going to fix, but he always goes back to the issue being vitamins! I stopped seeing him because it was getting ridiculous. If I had an issue I was really worried about, he'd always bring up the vitamin "talk". If it wasn't for that, I'd still be going to him.

Dr. Vinitsky is an absolute gem. I was extremely sick with chronic fatigue syndrome and depression. I went to him because no other doctor could help me. He began treating me a little over a year ago, and I am a completely different person. I have to say that Dr. Vinitsky saved my life and I am extremely grateful to him. The only downside is that he tends to run very late for appointments, but I usually call ahead and find out when to come, so it's not an issue. He spends as much time with each patient as is necessary
