Biography
Dr. Chelsea Hardin is a board-certified general surgeon with a specialty interest in the surgical treatment of breast cancer. She has had specialty training in the placement of accelerated partial breast irradiation (APBI) catheters, skin and nipple-sparing mastectomies, as well as hidden-scar oncoplastic techniques for the surgical management of breast cancer. Dr. Hardin also offers a broad range of surgical procedures including the laparoscopic and open management of gallbladder disease, hernias, intestinal or colon disorders, surgical treatment of melanoma and skin cancers, lymph node biopsies, removal of benign skin and soft tissue masses. Prior to practicing in Portland, Dr. Hardin helped to open and run a breast center in San Diego. She chose to become a surgeon because it gives her the opportunity to use both her mind and her hands to repair a problem for someone who is suffering. She likes being able to offer a solution that helps get a person back to their regular life.
