Dr. Messer has treated both me and my wife in the emergency room at Spartanburg Regional Hospital. On two different occasions we came to the emergency room suffering from strokes. We were well taken care of and Dr. Messer was very helpful in explaining what was going on with our condition and the path forward to treat our condition. She took time to answer all of our questions and was very thorough in her observations. I was very glad to see her when she came in to treat my wife as I had experienced first hand how punctual and determined to get to the source of my condition when I suffered a stroke a few years earlier. Thank you Dr. Messer for all the time and care that you share with the many patients you see every day. God bless you.

Dr. Messer has apparently forgotten both why she became a doctor and how to adequately, effectively, and compassionately care for her patients. Instead, she treats her shifts at the ER like any other hourly worker, simply trying to make it through each shift as apathetically as possible. Dr. Messer understands that after-hours patients have few choices for medical care, and instead of actually treating those patients effectively, she simply treats them all terribly because she apparently feels that such treatment is warranted by the ER. Perhaps if Dr. Messer could remember that she became a doctor to heal the sick, she might actually get back to that task. Until then, she will continue to merely count down each hour of her shift until quitting time, treating as few patients as she can manage, and treating them poorly at that.
