Dr. Branch coordinated not only my spinal injury care, but all post trauma care following a severe motor vehicle accident in 1994 when I was a senior in college. At the time, my prognosis was grim and the possibility for me to be paralyzed, disfigured, and have permanent brain injury was high. Dr. Branch was extremely accommodating to my family and responsive. After 22 years, I am experiencing back pain after taking a hard fall on a wet floor and he is the only person I trust enough to touch my back. Thank you to Dr. Branch for giving me my life back!

I've never been to a doctor with worse bedside manners. He was rude to my wife and I from the time he entered the room until he walked out and left us sitting there. He told my wife she needed to go back and see the previous doctor that had done back surgery on her in the past. Dr. Branch was recommended to us and that's why we made the trip to see him. My wife was in tears when we left. There is no excuse for a doctor treating anyone that is having the difficulty my wife has(extreme pain and difficulty walking)for a doctor to treat her that way. I would not recommend him to anyone.

Spinal fusion for stenosis on my 82 year old father. He was told, "It's a piece of cake." Father came out mostly paralyzed. Dr. Branch wrote his op notes after learning my dad was paralyzed, and noted that all his limbs were functioning (not true). He would not return family's calls for one month until forced by his director. He wrote no release notes for Dad to let therapists and doctors know of any problems that came from the surgery. Dad was dropped several times and got frequent infections because caregivers didn't know his functioning was permanently affected (because of no release notes). Dr. Branch urged my dad too strongly to have the operation, knowing that there would be no legal recourse because old people don't usually win lawsuits for operations that go wrong, he caused further harm by no release notes, covered himself by post-op notes written after he knew Dad's state, and dropped us all like plague. Very selfish man.

One of the most best neurosurgeons in the country! Other then a 4+ hour wait-- took all the time necessary to answer ALL questions (until 7:30pm) and take all my fears and concerns into consideration. Fixed 2- botched back surgeries from a prior Dr

He said nothing was wrong with the CT scan. After an MRI two weeks later, he said there was definitely something wrong. He dropped her as a patient like you would drop a rock. Total jerk.

Excellent bedside manner, good descriptions of the problem, outlined various different options and provided his recommendation for which he felt was best; surprisingly surgery was not the his first recommendation. After bed rest and medication did not work he did spinal vertebrae surgery. Surgical skill is obviously very good, follow-up in the hospital was regular and meaningful. After surgery care was mostly with his PA but she was very helpful and competent. Longterm outcome has been excellent. Highly recommend Dr. Branch.
