Having seen holistic practitioners for about 20 years, I was excited about meeting Dr Berk - but boy, was I disappointed ... Dr Berk first prescribed adrenal tests, and upon my second visit, he recommended I take cortisol - after doing so, I experienced a horrible reaction.. During the follow up, I received my test results which showed high-end cortisol levels .. When I told him of my reaction, and questioned WHY he would give me cortisol when my levels were already elevated, he seemed annoyed and simply said "Then don't take it" ( I kid you not ) ... Dr Berk has an ego bigger than his waistline, and will spend the bulk of the appointment talking about himself ... Very bad example of a holistic doctor, and I can NOT recommend him .

Comes across as condescending and smug; totally unprofessional.I was suffering from a long term condition and traditional doctors were unable to help me. I decided to put up with this guy's attitude and see his course of treatment through. At the end of it, I was still suffering from symptoms. Dr. Berk attributed these symptoms to stress. Interesting how stress wasn't a factor when he was prescribing and administering his course of treatment. His staff is very nice. To bad they have to work for such a creep.

Very rude, rushes you through, and medicine really isn't his thing. He's in the field because, according to him, his dad was a truck driver and forced him to go into medicine instead of truck driving. I have found that rude doctors, that are as hostile as Dr. Berk, were at the bottom of their class, and they used their affronts as a smoke screen so that you don't ask questions that they can't answer. Tried to give him my extensive history, he wasn't interested. I asked questions, he answered with insults and sarcasm. However, he'll waste 10 of your minutes bragging about being able to fly single engine airplanes as though his part time job is at American Airlines. He asserted that I should see his nutritionist, yet he is so rotund that I doubt most saddle shops would have a girth that would fit him; so I have to assume he doesn't follow his own advice. I have discounted any of his advice, and am looking for another doctor.

Dr. Berk was rude to me also. He spoke extremely fast, would not let me speak until he finished his rant, and then left the room in a flash before I had a chance to ask the questions I had. He did not complete my physical exam and glossed quickly over the history I so desperately wanted to convey so I could finally find the answers to my health dilemnas. Unfortunately, like so many other doctors, he didn't take the time necessary to really address my issues. As usual, I have to rely on myself and be my own doctor. Very disappointed.

Dr. Berk was extremely rushed, curt, and outright rude to me and my kids. They actually nicknamed him Dr. Jerk because he was so mean. He took my sons toy out of his hand with no warning as soon as he walked in the room...very commanding and right back out of the room in a flash before I could ask all of our questions. Most Of his staff are awesome, but it's obvious that everyone acknowledges his sarcarm and uncaring nature. He never once asked me how I was feeling and I was going through the worst time in my life and felt absolutely dreadful. I'm seeking out a new doctor now. I had such high hopes when I found him because he prescribes vitamins, and had studies complementary medicine, but with my own research I have discovered several important effective supplements that he never recommended. He was also unaware of how badly iodine can affect a patient with hashimoto's disease.

Dr. Berk was very curt and rude toward me. He interrupted as I asked questions. I talk fast, but he talked so fast, it was almost impossible to take all the information in. Every visit I had, he walked out of the room before I was finished asking questions. Twice he said he would be right back, and NEVER returned. Once, I was 12 minutes late for my appointment, and after driving 45 minutes to get there, my appt was CANCELLED! He never once asked me how I was feeling. He was rude to my children. He brought me to tears more than once. He always treated me as if I was inconveniencing him with my questions, and I was facing several VERY serious health problems, and I was afraid. He answered me sarcastically. For ex. when I showed concern over my cholesterol being high, he barked "What's wrong with cholesterol???" uhhhh...nothing? I guess? I can't believe his behavior...shocking. The rudest doctor I've ever dealth with.

Not a great bedside manner. Saw probably three times and felt like I was "nuisance" to this doctor.
