From my actual visit - he was 40 minutes late, was in the room 2 min and said he wanted a more recent mri. I specifically stated the mri was from the prior year prior to my visit. He did no exam. Charge a full new patient charge. After the MRI, he couldn't see the problem so he was done. A lot of money wasted with this doctor who says he's a specialist in treating sciatica. He is not.

Dr Mark Nelson is definitely a spine specialist - he is very knowledgeable about the nerves in the spine and how to properly assess for damage. This is the first orthopedic surgeon I have been to that is as thorough and intelligent as he is. He also reads the MRI for himself and doesn't rely on the radiologist report which is often flawed. This doctor is definitely a keeper. The office staff is very punctual and helpful as well - you don't have to ever ask them twice for anything.
