Beware! This doctor is a menace to the community! I just had by far the strangest and most unsettling doctor's visit of all my 37 years. Firstly, I should include the fact that I visited two days ago at 9am and sat in the treatment room for almost an hour, only to be told that the doctor was unreachable and though she had been expected back that day from an emergency travel leave, 'she must not actually be back yet'. My vitals had already been taken and blood drawn, and I was told I'd be contacted when she returned to complete my physical.

Segue to today. I woke up with a fever and sore/swollen lymph nodes, and what appeared to be the telltale white spots on my tonsils indicating Strep throat. I called and they were able to squeeze me in first thing. (Good to know she was back in the office!) And here's where it goes from what had been a mere communication/front desk faux pas to one of blatant medical incompetence:
THE DOCTOR DID NOT WASH HER HANDS AT ANY POINT BEFORE/DURING/AFTER THE VISIT, NOR DID SHE PUT ON A SINGLE PAIR OF GLOVES. WITH A POTENTIAL STREP PATIENT!!! She left the room and came back 3 times to get various medical devices, touching the doorknob, chair, light, clipboard, and laptop (all of which were not covered). She did not take my temperature, and simply relied on my reports from my home thermometer for this important reading. She attempted to execute an in-office Strep A culture, stumbling through reading the instructions on a card in the box and even asking me at one point to check out the dipstick thingy for confirmation that there were not 2 lines. She eventually gave up on getting the diagnosis this way and took another culture that would be getting sent to a lab for results to return in 2-3 business days (it's Wednesday and they may not be available until Monday). She then went ahead and authorized a prescription of Penicillin for me, and advised that I should begin taking it right away, and if the results came back negative I should stop taking it. What the hell? I'm no medical professional, but I know the risks in taking antibiotics when you don't have a bacterial infection, and in only taking a portion of their recommended course. Once we'd wrapped up, she walked right over to the front desk WITHOUT WASHING HER HANDS. I begrudgingly paid my $30 copay, resisted the urge to whisper to the front desk girl that she should be very careful with touching anything that had been in the doctor's hands for fear of exposure to Strep, and walked out completely baffled and frustrated at having endured such an unsuccessful expenditure of energy in my present ill and feverish state. I immediately called my insurance provider to get the address for Urgent Care, and have an appointment later. And this time I confirmed that they do Strep cultures that provide results instantly!

I have been going to dr Kidokoro for many years. She is one of the very best, and most kind doctors I have ever had. She is dedicated to her work and always listens carefully, then thinks about what you've said before she gives treatment, recommends treatment etc. She explains everything clearly and answers all my questions --that gives me peace of mind. I have full confidence in her and she has never been wrong. I am grateful for her care. Her permanent staff is also wonderful, caring, gentle and efficient ( I do not even feel the needle when the nurse draws blood). Arigatou gozaimashita

I saw Dr. Kidokoro for my yearly physical. She was very detailed with all my tests and gave me answers to the results. She answered questions I had not been able to get from other Dr.s . Her staff was very nice and attentive. I have great confidence in Dr. Kidokoro.

I do not feel as if the doctor listens to my issues when I come in, and is never confident about what to do about them. I have to suggest what I think is the best course of action. I was told to "check google for back exercises" after my back went out and I have been having pain for months. When I finally was told I had a referral turns out my insurance never got it and they keep telling me they are waiting on approval. Never get any answers. Worst medical experience I've EVER had.
