Please, I beg you not to go to this man. He will interview you (with a "hidden" agenda) in my opinion, make a hasty assumption/conclusion about you even before the actual testing is done. His reports are nasty and mean-spirited, which matches his over-inflated personality (again, in my opinion). If he's such an "expert" on memory loss, he certainly doesn't know how to recognize the tell-tale symptoms of PTSD.
I recently attended a large public gathering in which a department head from our city's largest healthcare system suggested to us to never consider this person for their "cognitive testing" needs, and neither she, or her peers would do so after hearing countless "horror stories" about this man from their patients.
I thought a doctor's oath includes "to do no harm?" He must have missed that part.

Mean, disrespectful. Wouldn't let me answer the questions. Interrupted. Made it impossible to answer questions I easily knew the answers to. Seemed to have his mind made up before he came into the room. A horrible experience.

Dr. Villanueva is a known insurance hack. He exploits his professional degree for money, in the service of insurance companies who use his biased and demeaning reports to deny disability claims. He uses his position and degree to get paid easily and well—with no pesky moral qualms about what he does for a living and the effect on his fellow human beings. He has surrendered his integrity for money, instead of maintaining any personal commitment towards helping and healing people. What kind of “psychologist” is that? He is a lowly serf of the insurance industry and a bane on his profession.

Took my son in to be evaluated as a young teenager and Doctor treated me like a criminal from the start. Not sure why as we were just evaluating for possible dyslexia. If I asked a question, he wouldn't even look at me or answer me, he would instead only speak to my son. He would not talk to me about the appointment after either. I only received a report which was very confusing and he did not feel the need to explain to me as he wrote up the report. In addition to this appt. we called to get a copy of the report as we had misplaced it and needed it for an appt with another doctor and the office person we spoke with was very rude and said it would take longer than two weeks (this is when our other appt was) and didn't have time to do it before that time. I would highly recommend not going to this doctor at all. If there was a zero rating I would give it. I don't think this doctor should continue to have his license. Worst doctor appt EVER and an office staff to match!
