During my first appointment with Dr. Shulkin in July 2020, he chastised me, questioning my judgment and morality in a condescending manner. Once I let him know why I had not had an eye exam for several years due to financial constraints, he proceeded to see me 6 more times during covid until November of 2020 without ever being able to provide an accurate prescription. I have a pair of glasses with which I cannot see freeway signs and contact lenses that make me so dizzy that everything appears completely askew because he changed my prescription so radically. I have worn lenses for 61 years and his prescription was similar to the one I got when I was 8 years old; he lowered my last prescription from -425 to -300 and added in severe astigmatism which had never been an issue previously. My sense is that he purposely did this because I did not appreciate being talked down to (though I was very friendly on the ensuing 6 appointments). Now, he has accepted insurance payment and I cannot get coverage for another year and a half. BAD experience!

The sales girl actually helps you get the best product in your price range. Dr Shulkin is very knowledgeable and answers questions, it's nice to have a respectful Dr.
