I was a patient of his. I went back to his old practice because per my MD's referral I needed to be seen right away. Dr. Phan was one month out. Little did I know this would cause me getting 'fired' as his patient upon requesting to return to his practice.
I was given an appointment. Well aware that I had been seen by the previous practice. Someone even confirmed my appointment yesterday! Today, I was called by another staff person to personally tell me that since I went to the other practice, and since 'that' didn't end amicably; Dr. Phan does not want to do anything with patients who have been seen by his old practice/partnership.
How sad that any patient would have to be turned away without any fault of theirs based on a squabble between the two professionals?
It seems so juvenile and unprofessional to me. But there's many other cardiologist out there to choose from.
I had preferred to go back to him because my loyalty was with him. I just had to be seen sooner than they were willing to schedule me back in May.
Terrible that his personal professional problem came before patient care.
