Not sure where I would be without Dr. Mack. I was deeply depressed for many years and I am now eternally grateful I have found a doctor who can provide the type of support and care that turned things around. Very personable, intelligent, and comforting doctor.

I have been seeing Dr. Mackenzie for two years now for opioid addiction. His knowledge concerning addiction is without question. I would recommend this doctor if you struggle with opioid addiction.

I used Dr McKenzie for several years. I was on Klonopin and wanted to get off, so I began tapering down my dose. When I explained the symptoms I was having he said he had never heard of that before. I later looked them up online and TONS OF PEOPLE were having similar issues. It wasn’t until later that he informed me there was a lower dose pill that might help me wean off. Then when one day later, I attempted to schedule an appointment online. The system would not allow me to do so. I had never encountered that problem before. I called the phone number I could find for him and his “assistant” answered. I was told I couldn’t make an appointment because he doesn’t accept Medicare. I had been using him w Medicare the entire 7 years. I tried to explain this to the assistant, but she was adamant. I am on disability and she was SO RUDE as to say, “Well how can you be on Medicare, you’re not old enough?” I got nowhere with her and asked to speak to the Dr. Several days later I received a call telling me he no longer accepted Medicare. I was left on my own to try to get refills for my prescriptions. I hate to think what might have happened if I had suicidal tendencies. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS DR.

I found Dr. MacKenzie to be as cold as a stone. His rapport was nonexistent although he was in no way rude. I felt as if I was visiting my insurance agent. He has an excellent resume, but to me at least, there was no warmth. Have found another doctor.

Dr. MacKenzie's knowledge, insight and gentle manner helped me recover from a extreme case of bulimia that I had for thirty four years. He did not give up on me as at times I wanted to give up on myself. He does not overprescribe meds or carelessly prescribe them. He does not jump on the severe mental illness bandwagon and make a quick diagnosis which may turn out to be wrong as in the case of so many psychiatrists. He cares and is a tremendous asset in this field. He is simply wonderful and I trust him with my life.

Dr. Mackenzie is a wonderful doctor. He has been taking care of me for almost three years now and I find him to be attentive, intelligent, helpful and very caring. I am also impressed with his knowledge and how he takes the time to explain things to me, not all doctors are like him. This is how all professionals should strive to be. I would recommend Dr. Mackenzie to family and friends or anyone who needs the help of a wonderful doctor.

I picked Dr. Mackenzie because he had great reviews online. I am SO glad I did. He is a caring and wonderful doctor. I didn't have a great experience with my previous psychiatrist, so I was pretty skeptical about psychiatrists in general. Dr. Mackenzie proved me wrong. He takes time to answer all of my questions-even the silly ones-thoroughly and respectfully. He makes sure I understand my treatment. He never tries to end appointments until I have stated that I don't have any more questions. I would highly recommend him to anyone who wants to see a doctor who will actually take them seriously and care about them.

I called to make an appointment and the office staff had scheduled me within 10 minutes. Dr. MacKenzie spent quite a long time evaluation my problems and diagnosed them perfectly, prescribing medication that has worked very well. The office manager always calls me back within five minutes when I leave a message. I would highly recommend Dr. MacKenzie. I have to believe that any negative reviews come from someone who did not get the diagnosis they "wanted". He's just a really SMART and good doctor.
