Well, nothing change with Dr. Amby since my last visit and write up on him and his staff since October 8th. See below commit. The only reason I went back was to request a refill on a prescription. After a timely wait, again Dr. Amby did not have the courtesy to come out and speak with me, but had Ken inform me that Dr. Amby would not refill my prescription anymore!! No reason was given but, I know it was because of my prior comments, because the staff was reading them on their computer, trying to be hush, hush about it. Was really funny!! Shortly after that, Ken had to do Dr. Amby's dirty work, which he did very polite and professional. So, again, I highly would NOT recommend ANYONE to Dr. Amby and the majority of his staff..

Today was the worst experience I've ever had with a Dr. & his staff, with the exception of one member, and I do apologize I can't remember his name, the black gentleman is the only considerable, helpful person there on the staff. At 10:45, I contacted the office and spoke to the front Spanish receptionist, sorry, these people were so bad, I can't remember their names. I informed her I had bad pain in my legs for the past 2 days and asked if Dr. Amby could prescribe a pain medicine for relief. I only requested 2 or 3 pills. She informed me, he was with patiences and would get back with me. 3 hours later, no call back, so I call and get their recording, leave a message, we are attending others, and will return your call. 1 hour later, still no call so, I drive up there, asked why have I not heard back from them and they tell me their phones have been out of order since the storm, 5 days ago but, keep in mind, they answered their phone at 10:45 when I first called. Even if phones were out, a good office would use cell phones, if their concerns were for the patient. I ask for the prescription and they tell me, Dr. Wants to see me first before giving prescription. Of course, to collect from insurance. I informed them, I had to meet my daughter in 15 mins. to watch my grand kids and I would not be able to return until 4:30 so, the girl said, they had a 4:30. I asked to see Dr. Amby, 5 mins. later, they seen a man out, not the Spanish girl, and he repeats what she said 5 mins. earlier and Dr. Amby would not and did not, after several request, come out and talk with me. So, I had to leave and informed the man clerk to put me down for the 4:30 and he comes back and has me for a 4:00 appointment. Again, I inform him, I won't be able to be here before 4:30. He said, I'll leave you on the 4:00 and we'll probably have other guest and the wait would be till 4:30 anyway. I call at 4:00 to again, let them know it will be close to 4:30 before I arrive and again, the Spanish girl tells me, Oh, that's too late. We're going to have to reschedule you, which was really the worst thing she could have said, after giving me the run around since 10:45 that morning. I informed her, No, I will be there at 4:30 and expect to see the Dr. She, rudely, ok, we'll see you then. I arrive at 4:15. Check in with Spanish girl. She never looks at me, just says, ok. 20 wait in lobby, 10 min. wait in room. Dr. Amby comes in, ask, how are you doing today? Was expect, sorry for all the inconvenience you've had today with us and him not coming up front to talk to me. So, he's steady looking at his computer, ask a couple questions, we agree on a medication, he gives me prescription, I walk ext door to Tom Thumb to fill it, the pharmacist comes up and says, She can't fill it until tomorrow because she has to talk to the Dr. and they were not answering the phone. This is at 5:15 on a Tuesday, and the office is open until 6:00 on Tuesdays. So, I walk back to the Dr's office, tell the pharmacist needs to talk to the Dr. to fill it, the Spanish girl says, she will have a nurse call it in but, she fails to inform the nice black man, nurse, I requested the Tom Thumb next door, opposed to the one in my file at a different location, so he calls another Tom Thumb. When I go back for the 2nd time to tell the pharmacist they told me, it was called and faxed in and she rudely says, no it wasn't, I don't have it. Again, 3rd ti e, I go back to office, time 5:45 a d find out they sent to wrong TT, again, they assure me it will be sent to next door TT after keeping me waiting another 15 mins. As I'm leaving to go to the TTfor the 3rd time, the nice black nurse comes outside, ask me a couple of questions because he says, I want to make all is correct for you. He also informed me, it would take about 20 mins. to go through, which no one told me the first 2 times. I thanked him, waited 25 mins, walked to pharmacy, they said, they had, within 10 mins, FINALLY, I got my prescription and about 30 mins later, the pain subsided. From 10:45 am, to 6:30 pm. It took this office this long to get me a prescription, after being informed of my pain. 8 HOURS. All because of incompetent, non caring people. If you haven't guessed yet, I DO NOT recommend this office and I have NO intentions of ever walking in there again. Sorry so long but. The details were important.

I wouldn't recommend Dr. Amby's office. yes you get a appointment. you then get awaited to the cold staff and black stares. Dr. Amby sees you look at web MD and then says what he thinks. if you get blood work you get a letter saying you will be called. I got no call. I call the office the read the paper to you and shedule another appointment. yet she can't tell you anything. so I get a lot of back and forth visit and finally I need a prescription and the doctor is not doing the follow up. yet they have no trouble billing my insurance for visits. I would not recommend this office. the previous people must have gotten paid.

Very professional staff, clean waiting area, and very clean office. Dr. Amby is very nice and took the time to really talk and listen to me. I was nervous because this was my first visit due to my doctor of 12 years having a stroke and closing his office- he and his staff helped me feel at ease and welcomed.

Dr. Amby was very kind and thorough. He listened to me, asked me questions that made me feel like he cared and spent more time with me than I had ever had from other doctors. I got an appointment quickly as a new patient.
