Dr Enke was very uncaring. Each time I saw him he would tell me that he is sure my compression fracture will heal, which is pretty much all he had to offer...he never repeated X-ray to determine if it has healed - still very painful 10 months later. He offered pain meds, which I did not want. He stated if I wanted to do physical therapy to let him know. ..in other words he didn’t care if I did or did not, never explaining or recommending one way or the other and not mentioning the importance of PT in treating compression fractures. I have sought another Dr’s opinion (Northwestern in Chicago) who ordered an X-ray and determined not only has that fracture not healed, but I have a 2nd compression fracture. He has ordered an MRI, prior to ordering PT. I would never, ever recommend Dr Enke. He has a very uncaring, unsympathetic attitude.
attitude.

This is the worse doctor I have ever seen. I started to see him about 2 years ago with sever back problem and pain. From this time my condition worsened about 50% and I’m almost handicap – at least I feel like. I told him my concern, but all his respond was a long “yeeees”. I ask him what is my diagnosis and wasn’t even able to tell me what is going with my back and pain. No explanation what is going on with my health? He performed a physical exam only one time and never locked again at my back. The visit is about 3 minutes long and he is just typing something and that is all. I’m so disappointed but the scariest part is I’m getting worse and he is not even listening to me. How he can be a doctor?

I've had problems with my back and hips for a couple of years. It was decided that it was being caused by my back. We discussed physical therapy, medication and injections. He thought injections would be the best. Before setting an appointment, I visited my personal care physician who showed me Enkes; report. He stated that he told me about all the risks involved and that I agreed. He NEVER said anything about the risks. He basically lied on his report. I do NOT trust him. All he wants to do is give costly injections.

Dr. Enke had no compassion or understanding for me as a patient and did not care about pain I was experiencing. He provided no treatment options except for an injection that I had already recieved multiple times, and explained to him that it did not work. He did not care and stated, "Well, that's all I can do for you." Don't waste your time and money on this terrible, uncaring, doctor.

I am SO THANKFUL to have found this, because I don't want anyone else to waste their time and money making the same mistakes I did ESPECIALLY when you suffer from CHRONIC PAIN like I do! DO believe that you know your own body better than any Doctor! I had several visits with Dr. Enke and explained thoroughly that I wanted to change Drs because my Dr. wasn't listening and thus giving me injections in areas that were not helping and I wanted to stop having to take pain medicine. Dr. Enke did NOTHING for me, I only had office vsts with no pain intervention WHAT SO EVER!!!... basically he kept giving me the run around, In the end his nurse told me that Dr. Enke said he couldn't do any different injections than what my current Dr. could...UNBELIEVABLE!! So if you have chronic or even acute pain, this Dr. is NOT what you would consider a typical "Pain Management" Dr., he does not give you much feedback, and his treatment is WAY too conservative for pain sufferers! SUMMARY: DR. ENKE=SUCKS!

He shouldn't be a doctor he's not capable...
