Just moved into town. My next door neighbor recommended Dr. Ragsdale. She had been going to him for 25+ years. My visit was exceptional. The doctor answered all my questions and the staff was very helpful also.

Although I have not actually seen this doctor, the two times I have gone in to see about possibly getting a prescription filled (eyeglasses made), I have been treated very rudely by his staff who were arrogant and condescending, refusing to permit me to even look at the frames until one of them was free to "show" them to me Although I have a background in medicine, the staff treated me as if I were limited in general education. One of my opthamologist referred me to this doctor for refraction only, but staff refused to give me an appointment unless I consented to a full examination which my opthamologists do four times per year.

My daughter was a new patient of Dr. Mark Ragsdale. He never introduced himself to me or my daughter. Any questions I asked were answered arogantly. He wanted to dilate her eyes even though it had only been one year since her last dilation and no reason to assume anything was wrong to have it redone. He never discussed anything about the appt. to me unless I asked. I asked him how much her vision changed he said "a half a diopter." As I was paying I was uncertain if she had a prescription or not. I asked the receptionist and she informed me that she did. After getting home and reading the notes I later found out that she astigmatism as well. There were many other things said during the appt. that were frustrating. He was very arrogant. We will never go back there. I was very upset that I wasted our 1 year visit at Dr. Ragsdale's office. If you have children I would HIGHLY advice going elsewhere.
