Did rotator cuff surgery on my left shoulder. Great repair and although it was painful (it's just that type of surgery), the recovery was quick and the therapy went quickly as well. Within 8-12 months, everything was back to normal as if the repair had never been needed. Great bedside manner as well and the staff at Orthopedic Specialties are the best.

Dr Kowalk is an excellent Doctor. He's kind, thorough, very friendly and supportive. I didnt feel rushed and he answered all my questions woyh patience. He did my recent torn meniscus surgery and I've had no problems. As an added bonus, he is gorgeous!

DR. KOWALK IS A GREAT DR.AND SURGEON. I WENT TO HIM FOR A TORN MENECUS. HE GAVE ME CORDIZONE SHOTS (WHICH DID NOT HURT)HE DID SURGERY AND WAS VERY GOOD WITH FOLLOW UP.I AM NOW BACK TO WORK AND WILL GO BACK TO DR. KOWALK IF I EVER HAVE KNEE PAIN AGAIN. HIS OFFICE GIRLS ARE ALSO GREAT. I NEVER HAD TO WAIT ON AN APPOINTMENT, WHICH I WAS AMAZED AT. I HAVE JUST NOW REFERRED HIM TO ONE OF MY COWORKERS WHO IS NOW CALLING FOR AN APPOINTMENT.

Dr. Kowalk is wonderfully friendly and he always has the patient's well being in mind. I had a medial meniscus repair, and though the surgery isn't perfect, I would not have trusted it to anyone else. He's a really nice person, and approaches the patient directly and honestly as far as the severity of the condition and the different options. I'd recommend him to anyone.

I went to Dr. Kolwalk due to an emergency. I have seen him and the PA a number of times and would recommend him to anyone. The office staff and nurses are very friendly and helpful. I have only had one occasion that I needed to wait - - generally taken into the office within five minutes. Dr. Kowalk does not rush so you might wait a little for him to get to you but you will be given the same consideration during your visit - he is all about the patient. Good all around care was received.
