Would recommend to anyone needing foot surgery. Fully explained all aspects if the procedure and recovery. My feet are beautiful and fully functioning. Could not be happier!

Dr Hockenbury took my mess of an ankle and did an excellent fusion. My pain level was 10/10. He told me that it could take up to a year for a full recovery and that he could elevate 80% or more of my pain. I would have settled for 50% at that point but he exceeded his original goal to about 95%. He was articulate in description, forthcoming in details and professional in every aspect. He talked to me, not over me and my wife was included in everything. I drove 3 1/2 hours each way for a year to have him care for me. I would recommend him to anyone seeking an ankle fusion. I wouldn't think twice about returning to him if the need arose.

He is an excellent doctor and I cant imagine what it must be like for him to hear any scrutiny. He performed double fusion on my heel and ankle. Although I will never be what i once was, I doubt many could have done much better. Thanks doctor for your hard work, I really appreciate it.

I speak from my experience, Do Not Permit This Doctor To Operate On Your Foot, if need any fusion or plate in foot. I now have a deformed foot with loss of balance since big toe does not touch floor and after 10months, bone on top of foot has not fused, only held by screws and Dr. response is defensive. Also too busy with residents, when in office to give patient time. For me, definitely not a qualified surgeon. Does have overbook Big Time as he takes new medicare patients where other are not. Sad because I was excited about having surgery so I would be walking without pain again, and now I have trouble even standing or trying to take a step due to loss of balance. So go for maybe a cast setting, but beware of going under the knife with man. All spoken from my personal experience and is my opinion
