Biography

Darryl L. Kaelin, M.D., is a physiatrist at UofL Physicians – Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. Dr. Kaelin earned his medical degree from University of Louisville School of Medicine. He then went on to complete an internship at Kettering Medical Center Network and his residency at Medical College of Virginia Hospitals, both in physical medicine and rehabilitation. At University of Louisville School of Medicine, he is a professor in the Department of Neurosurgery. Dr. Kaelin’s services include restorative neuroscience, sports medicine, physical medicine and rehabilitation. His areas of interest include concussions, neuroscience, sports medicine and stroke rehabilitation. In August 2017, Dr. Kaelin was named Top Doctor by peers in “Louisville Magazine.” "I believe I am the patient's partner in health care,” Dr. Kaelin said. “My job is to create a treatment plan, teach that plan and work with the patient to successfully complete it."
