Doctor Donoway and his office staff are top notch. Kathryn, the office manager, runs a tight ship, which I appreciate. Doctor Donoway is extremely professional and erudite and caring and thorough. What more can one want in a surgeon?

Dr. Donoway is very professional and is obviously an excellent doctor. His wife who runs the office is a character. She wouldn't let my husband come into.the room with me. I was nervous about being there and she made me feel worse. I will unfortunately be seeing a different doctor due to this situation. If Dr.Donoway sees patients in a difference office without his wife i would continue being his patient.

Wonderful doctor - horrible staff. very unprofessional and loud. Dr Donoway is a really great doctor. I would recommend him in a heartbeat but the staff will make you want to find a different doctor!!

What a wonderful doctor. Has the right combination of knowledge and personality. Dr. Donoway answered all of my concerns and went over everything with me in detail. I highly recommend seeing him, even if it's for a second opinion. I usually don't write reviews, but in this case I do feel like I have to. Yes, I do recommend scheduling your appointment to see the dr., but the reviews about the office manager are true. She is a crude and extremely unprofessional. Her work attire is vulgar and they way she speaks to the patients is alarming. If there is pro to this, it's that she is not the dr. So you only deal with her for a brief moment.

Waited to see the doctor 2 hours, he was worth the wait, but not sure if I recommend going to his office since it's an ordeal within itself. Once I arrived to the office I was spoken to by the office manager (later found out she is his wife) in such a way that it made my blood pressure spike. My question to her was how much longer it would be until I was called in, she jumped on me like I insulted her...I only asked because I had to pick up my son from school. Very rude women, I would have thought she would be a bit nicer and have a little more class being she is the doctor's wife. Either way the office is beautiful, the nurses are sweet, the doctor is very knowledgeable and would recommend him, but be warn about the receptionist (his wife).

We appreciate your feedback. Dr. Donoway is a cancer surgeon, and he often has to give a family bad news and he spends as much time as needed to explain the diagnosis and treatment options. There is a sign clearly posted in our lobby stating "if your unable to wait patiently please reschedule your appointment." This office does not rush its patients when they are with the doctor. Thank you for your compliments to the doctor.

Our office manager Kathryn runs the office productively and efficiently. We apologize if she came across as rude. We assure you that was not her intent. We do not permit patients to "cut in front of" other patients.

Dr. Donoway has an outstanding reputation in the tri-county area, and he is highly regarded by his colleagues -- even operating on many of them and their family members -- and that is why he has such a busy practice. He is only in the office two half days per week, because he operates the other three days and rounds on patients in hospital two half days a week.

If you are unable to wait for a doctor that will give you the same careful attention when it is your turn, than perhaps we are not the office for you. Patients will clearly attest Dr. Donoway is worth the wait.

EXCELLENT SURGEON, SUPERIOR STAFF, KATHRYN WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND EVERY STEP OF THE WAY, BAD REVIEWS OF HER SOUND LIKE PERSONAL ATTACK FROM DISGRUNTELED FORMER EMPLOYEE, I HAVE BEEN DR DONOWAYS PATIENT FOR OVER A DECADE AND KATHRYN HAS COMPLETELY OVERHAULED HIS OFFICE AND FIXED PROBELMS, WAIT IS STILL LONG BECAUSE DR DONOWAY IS IN HIGH DEMAND, BUT KATHRYN MAKES SURE EVERYTHING IS HANDLED CORRECTLY WHICH IS VERY HARD TO FIND IN TODAYS MEDICAL FEILD

Biography

Dr. Robert B. Donoway is the only Surgeon in Florida performing specialized Pancreatic and Liver ablation therapy for non-resectable tumors with Irreversable Electroporation (IRE). Dr. Donoway is a Fellowship trained Liver and Pancreas Specialized Surgical Oncologist who received his MD and Surgical training at the University of Pennsylvania. He completed his fellowship in Surgical Oncology at Sloan Kettering where he was the General Motors Cancer Research Fellow. Dr. Donoway has taught on the faculty at PENN, SLOAN-KETTERING, UNIVERSITY OF MIAMI AND NOVA SOUTHEASTERN. He is the former Chairman of the Aventura Cancer Committee at Aventura Hospital and Medical Center (2012-2014) and the former Medical Director of the Memorial Cancer Institute and Chairman of the Cancer Committee for the Memorial Healthcare system as well as Chief of Surgery and Surgical Oncology at Memorial Regional in Hollywood. Dr. Robert Donoway has served on the Board of the American Cancer Society and Gildas Club. He has also served as past president of the American Cancer Society Broward County Chapter. Dr. Donoway is active in the Society of Surgical Oncology and the American Society of Breast Surgeons. His accomplishments include being the first surgeon in Florida to perform Cryo and Radio Frequency Ablation as well as Laproscopic Liver Surgery. Dr. Donoway is a recent recipient of the South Florida Health Award for the use of Micro-Endoscopy for the detection of early stage Breast Cancer and has been repeatedly named to" Top Doctors in America" by Castle Connolly.
