I was at UPMC and he tried sending me home during a pancreatic attack. I was admitted and he called to the floor and spoke wit the house doc and told him I was drug seeking. The morning doc saw me and I had sweat through 5 sets of sheets. I told the doc what happened with Dr. Beck in the ER and on the floor. This doc whom I just met was almost as angry as me. Dr. Beck was advised he would no longer be working at UPMC.
It turns out I have an extremely rare disease in my stomach. I am retired law enforcement and to be treated and talked to like you're an addict was new to me. I think Dr. Beck needs some sensitivity training on people with acute or chronic pain. Well, Beck is no longer at UPMC because I filed a complaint and only requested an apology. They told me he no longer worked at UPMC and they were very apologetic because he was known to do this and many complaints mimicking mine and the 2 others here have been filed against him. I'm glad that the morning doc got the ball rolling for me to speak with the ombudsman dept. and terminate him.

I heard from a birdie UPMC kindly told him he would be better off practicing medicine somewhere other than UPMC. I was subjected to him as well. Justice was served for the submission before me.

Dr Beck was an ER Dr at Upmc East and will be working at Butler. Beware..He will not listen to you. I was screaming in agony and he came in the room and hollared at me" If you don't shut up I will not give you anything for pain. The nurses also concur that he has horrible beside manner.
He is also very reckless discharging a patient with a life threatening condition. He should of been fired but the hospital's protect their own.
