The worst experience I have ever had with a doctor in my life. I am a certified athletic trainer and currently am in nursing school. I know how to advocate for my school and the questions to ask. At my first appointment I was told I needed to have my mouth swabbed to test for any medications I might be taking to make sure there would be no interactions with any medications the dr might prescribe. First, the swab was not disclosed to me at the time I made the appointment. Second, I was told upon making the appointment that the dr did not prescribe medications. I asked why the swab was being done and further asked if she would possible do another one later to check for a therapeutic level of any prescribed meds. I was told yes. When I received the bill I found out she tested me for 17 illegal substances, all without disclosing this to me or asking my permission. I understand the climate that pain physicians must deal with and I am not disputing her feeling the need to drug test her patients, I am disputing her unethical actions of lying to me about what the test was for, even after I asked questions about it and not disclosing to me what was being tested. In addition, the lab she uses is committing insurance fraud so I would be greatly surprised if she was not involved in the fraud. Her billing office is also terrible. They called me telling me I owed the money, when in fact they owed me money. Then they tried to tell me my insurance took money back that they had paid but they couldn't give me any details about how much money was taken back or when. Needless to say, it wasn't true. There is something very fishy going on at this dr's office and I would have given her 0 stars if that were an option.
