He is an psychopath, egomaniac, narcissistic little man. He is a nut case and should be in prison. He helps some but destroyed many others that may disagree with him. He thinks he is God.

Dr.encourages married doctors to have relationships with other single teenage females as he touts it worked for him. He prefers the females to be professionals like lawyers or nurses, not college drop outs. Summer 2018

It is to bad that he still sounds like he has issues. I actually had him in his beginning days as a Pediatric Doctor in Middletown, Connecticut. He was an amazing doctor until the drugs over took his life and he lost everything. So sad :(

Teitlebaum’s ‘Punctuality’ kept me with NO INCOME for 3 months! After he stated, “Oh My! It was under a pile of papers on my desk and I forgot.” He was not aware that his assistant failed to place me on hold so if i heard it myself. By this time I had already paid, plus was given no other options because of circumstances.

This is a sad little man. He tries to point out all of your issues and hold your professional license like a carrot for you do do exactly what he pleases. This is all coming from a man who is married to a woman that is younger than his oldest daughter.

I occasionally write here to refer you somewhere else. I'm not going to try to convince you of anything this time. I'm informing you that minus those that may be angry, almost 100 percent of what is being said in these reviews are true. History repeats itself, he has conned his peers and taken advantage of those that are vulnerable. His fall from his pedestal will come and many will say I told you so...

Egomaniac with an inferiority complex pretty much sums it up. He level of arrogance and preconception unfortunately disallows the truth in many of his patient interactions. As Benjamin Franklin said "A man who loves himself, has no rivals". It speaks poorly for UF that they would continue to allow this type of physician to be part of their faculty.

I was "sentenced" to FRC by the Kentucky Medical Board. I was caught smoking marijuana for chronic pain. Dr. Scott basically called me a liar in that "he" didn't believe marijuana could help with pain despite all the evidence to the contrary. He also fabricated my hair test results and told me I tested positive for marijuana even though I hadn't smoked in over 4 months. He would never show me my test results. The validity of hair testing has been called into question but he only looks at evidence that supports his work. He lied to me about how long I would have to stay and only released me when I refused to shell out any more cash. The whole episode cost me over 36K for the "treatment". I really am not sure what he actually does for a living. He plays on his phone while you are in his office, laughs at your complaints and situation. He has a lot of gall given he lost his license for cocaine abuse. The treatment program itself is a joke. I just had to sit through countless 12 step sessions telling me to give myself over to a "higher power". There was nothing scientific about it at all. I needed treatment for depression and chronic pain, not addiction but FRC is treated as an authority on addiction so their recommendation and opinion to the state medical board was taken as gospel. There is really no way to fight this system. I am now forced to be drug tested and attend AA meetings for 5 years. My license is restricted so I cannot even practice clinical medicine. I am unemployed (burning through my 401K) while this POS cocaine addict is making 400K (I looked up his salary) and tooling around in his Mercedes. This is a money making racket only and they do not care who they hurt in the process.

    Biography

Hello, my name is Scott Teitelbaum, MD, and I am the Pottash professor in psychiatry and neuroscience at the University of Florida College of Medicine. I serve as vice chair of the department of psychiatry, chief of the division of addiction medicine, medical director of the UF Health Florida Recovery Center and former fellowship director of UF's American Board of Preventive Medicine (ABPM) - addiction medicine fellowship.I was originally trained and board certified as a pediatrician. I always loved children, and as a father, I thought it was important to treat a patient's family the way I would want to be treated. I later completed fellowships in addiction medicine and child psychiatry at UF, switching focus because of my own journey in recovery and desire to help individuals and families who suffer with the effects of substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. I became medical director of the Florida Recovery Center in 2002, and since then, have been involved in the evaluation and/or treatment of more than 5,000 health care providers and other professionals from across the country. Through these efforts, the Florida Recovery Center has led the way nationally with its evidence-based treatment of the disease of addiction.I developed one of the first-ever accredited fellowships in addiction medicine, and my program has now trained more addiction medicine fellows than any other program nationwide. We are continuing research on substance biomarkers and using patient health assessments to identify where we can improve the quality of the treatment that we provide individuals. In 2016, I was awarded the Pottash Endowment, allowing for the creation of a research initiative that's focused on addiction medicine and the fight toward recovery. I have been honored on multiple occasions with the Exemplary Teacher Award for my guidance of medical students. I have received several other awards and honors, including being named the winner of the American Society of Addiction Medicine's Prestigious Annual Award in January 2018 in recognition of my outstanding contributions to the field and elected into the Conway Hunter Society. A national expert who has been consulted by the White House Office of National Drug Control and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, I am passionate about reducing stigma and advancing treatment for those suffering from the disease of addiction. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors and exercising.
