This doctor advertises for services he is not qualified to conduct. He has 6 different businesses listed on yelp. He claims to be a specialist in these different sectors but can't even perform the procedure he claims to be a specialist in correctly or completely, Don;t even get me started on his wife that works at the front desk.. extremely rude and unprofessional once you have a problem or issue. Jacklyn made me feel like it was my fault I had an awful experience at their clinic.. it was not my fault unprofessional and incompetent. I hope the people reading this take this as a warning and do not visit this doctor for anything

I have been coming to see Dr. Mann for several years now and he has always been very friendly and helpful. I only go to him when I am experiencing minor illnesses like the common cold but he always takes the time to explain what is going on and gives me a perscription for antibiotics. The urgent care is very clean and you can tell they make a big effort to keep it nice and tidy. Little things like that go a long way in my opinion.

I have been going to this urgent care for years. Whenever possible I avoid going there when Dr. Mann is working. I have had positive care from Dr. Cannis. I have seen Dr. Mann 3 times and each time I leave so disgusted by his abusive and neglectful care. He makes no effort to listen to you, cuts you off and if you try to tell him something about your symptoms he acts as if you are challenging him and shuts you down. He is RUDE, MEAN, ARROGANT, and INCOMPETENT. I will NEVER go to him again. Several times I have been there with symptoms of Strep and begged him to test me. He refused saying it doesn't matter, you have an infection, you need antibiotics. I have informed him that I have children at home and want to know what I am exposing them to. One time I insisted that he test me after he said I don't have strep. The test came back positive and he never came back into the room to tell me! He sent the assistant in. Recently I was there again and he literally just looked in my throat for 1 second, did not listen to me, feel my neck, look into my ears or nose. After 1 second he prescribes me antibiotics and then proceeds to argue with me about the effectiveness of the meds that I know do not work for me. I have seen many doctors in my life and he is THE ABSOLUTE WORST> His behavior and interaction show me that he does not care at all about patients. Got forbid he should actually look at you or listen to you. I'm so disgusted and angry that I chose to go there again.

I feel it necessary to warn other patients against seeing Dr. Peter Mann. My experience with him is listed below.

On the night of February 22, 2015 I went to Urgent Care & More to get screened for STDs. I am not suffering from any symptoms, but many STDs can be asymptomatic. I am a full-time student at SDSU and I work as a server. My spare time is limited and sometimes I use your facility when my only free time lands after normal working hours. Dr. Peter Mann was very aggressive towards me from the moment we met. He said without symptoms I do not need to be tested for STDs since I haven't had sex in two months. I informed him that I am about to be in a relationship and I want to make sure I do not have any STDs. Dr. Mann then brought in a tray to perform vaginal cultures. I was surprised by this and asked why that was necessary. He got angry with me and said that I should know that this is how women are tested for STDs. He then handed me a sheet and told me to get undressed. I asked him why he was being so aggressive and angry towards me and he responded that he didn't understand my surprise at having to have vaginal cultures for STD testing. I told him that I thought asymptomatic STD testing was less invasive and only involved a blood draw. Dr. Mann informed me that only syphilis can be tested by blood, all other STDs have to be tested with a culture. He then asked if I still insisted in getting tested for STDs. I said I still wanted to get screened for STDs. Dr. Mann told me to get undressed; he didn't leave the room but instead stood in place glaring at me. I then asked him to leave the room and he stormed out. I was scared and shaking. The doctors blatant aggression and unprofessionalism shook my belief in our medical system. I left the room, told the doctor that his aggression towards me made me feel unsafe. I asked him if he was actually a doctor then left the facility.

After I had calmed down I realized the inaccuracy of what Dr. Mann had told me. Syphilis is not the only STD tested by blood which is what Dr. Mann insisted last night. Herpes and HIV are both also tested by blood samples. Chlamydia and gonorrhea are tested by urine samples. Also, all of these can lie dormant for the two months that I haven't had sex. Dr. Mann's statement that I do not have any STDs because I do not have any symptoms was incorrect. The doctor was grossly inaccurate in the information he was giving me and at no point was it necessary for me to have a vaginal examination. I am shaken even more because I would have gone through with the vaginal cultures if the doctor hadn't been so aggressive. My previous trust in doctors made me doubt my knowledge on the subject. I trusted that the doctor's knowledge superseded my own.

I am still reeling from the experience.
