Great doctor, I appreciate him actually treating the problem with different procedures instead of just lazily giving out pain meds.

I was seeing Dr Elzholz since 2011. When I first started with him I saw him in Lake Success. ( I live in East Patchogue) He was doing injections in Mineola. After about 6 months he was no longer seeing patients on Long Island and if I wanted to continue with him I had to travel to the Bronx to see him. When he was in Lake Success he was very caring and interested in helping his patients. When I started to travel to the Bronx to see him he changed. I learned that he was overextending himself and was in several offices in the Bronx and Yonkers. He was ALWAYS late to the office. I'm not talking 15 minutes..it was more like 2 hours!! The waiting room is always packed to the gills and there is standing room only. Everyone waiting is angry because you have to wait 3-4 hours before you are seen. This is so unprofessional!! How do you schedule appointments at 9:00am if you are not showing up until 11:00am? Rediculous! The level of care was nonexistent and the staff is so overworked that they become somewhat rude to the patients. Dr Elzholz expects you to have injections every other month. I had to put my foot down and tell him no! For one they weren't helping and two I had co-insurance and co-pays that were around $300-$400 per injection and I couldn't afford it! I suffered a broken neck and sustained a spinal cord injury in 2012. I also had MRSA and osteomyelitis which has left me with crippling pain. My meds were cut down so much that I was going through a bottle of 400 Naproxen Sodium every 2 months! Dr Elzholz has too many patients, he doesn't care about their pain or their needs and he is 2 hours late to every appointment! I would not recommend this doctor to anyone! Run for your life!

I feel worse then when I started with Elzholz. He pumps you up with medicine so you can keep coming back for appointments. His treatments did not work the first time but insisted to continue them because it would eventually work so he said. They still didn't work. His staff is horrible and rude as well. You're just a number.
