I have have 5 back and one SI joint surgeries.
Before my last surgery, i would have been in a wheel chair within 6 months. not to mention constant level 10 pain. I had an ALIF surgery on 6 /28/17 two months later i'm back working,almost no pain. by the way, i just turned 70 years old.Besides being a Skilled surgeon, he is also very honest and upfront.

Referred to Dr. Silberfarb by PCP. Doctor reviewed MRI disk and lumbar spine with me and options of treatment. I chose surgery. I find Dr. Silberfarb To be extremely professional, knowledgeable, and personable. Has taken excellent care of me postop. Office staff has been appropriate upon contact for reevaluation and compassionate.

After surgery, he did not see the patient or order the hospital to wash the wound. The patient suffered from severe infection later.

This was the worst experience I have ever had with any doctor in my entire 83 years of living. He never showed up anyplace on time and never appeared to release me from the hospital. He is rude, unfriendly and incapable of showing any comfort to me as a patient.

Dr was very friendly and knowledgeable. I have been having issues with my back went to him for relief. He took the time to explain to me the issue and my options. Love the fact that he was not one of these "cowboy doctors" that want to just rush to surgery. Spent time with me and never rushed me out of the office! Will definitely go back to him!! Thank you Dr Silberfarb for all your help!

This doctor just did a spinal procedure on my aunt. As a family member, I was told to wait in the surgical waiting room of the hospital and would be told when the procedure was done. The doctor NEVER came out to tell me anything and left the hospital without giving me any information. Prior to the surgery, my aunt was foggy about his name, never having seen him earlier. I don't think he gave her a clear explanation of what the surgery would do for her.
When her daughter called to get further information the day of the surgery, he cancelled the surgery that day without informing the patient. Lack of communication all around from this surgeon.

I was looking for a doctor to give me a second opinion on spine surgery. After reading the comments on this website I was very hesitant to go see this doctor but he was on my health plan and my primary suggested him.After meeting him and listening to and talking to him I thought he was very knowledgeable and very nice and his staff was also. He was considerate and he didn't act like a bull in a China shop to run and do surgery on my spine. He recommended some tests that I will have done and we will go from there. Both my husband and I were very pleasantly surprised.
