Prescribed me Ciprofloxacin for a "suspected" bacterial infection before actually testing for an infection. 7 months later I am still dealing with the adverse reaction from that antibiotic (Fluoroquinolone toxicity). When I asked him about it, he was very short with me. I then scheduled an hour long appointment to speak to him about it in person. Right before my appointment I was informed that he no longer works for the clinic.

Dr. Desai saved my life also. The comment below does not match at all the experience I have had with Dr. Desai for over 3 years of very compassionate care. At this point I’d be willing to travel out of state to continue seeing him.

I too totally disagree with the post below. Dr. Desai saved my life in the middle of the night. He came from home to do emergency surgery. He has treated me always with respect and listened to what I said. He has preformed multiple surgeries on me as I've had over 80 kidney stones. I am devasted to learn He is gone from this practice. I will search for him and hope he is practicing in the Seattle area. I will follow him

Dr Desai is kind and very thorough. What is written below is a complete false claim. I have been his patient for years. I learned yesterday he was no longer with the practice. I am shocked to learn this. He will be truly missed. I hope he is going to remain in the area.

I had a very disappointing experience with Mr. Desai.

I was given a choice of procedures for my condition at the Valley Medical Urology Clinic. I selected the one I preferred.

When I was admitted for the procedure a week later, the paperwork did not match what I had agreed on with the clinic. I asked if I could speak with the doctor before changing in the hospital gown, etc.

The doctor was very upset that I had not changed and that I wanted to clarify the apparent disconnect in what was going to be done to my body before starting the process.

He was rude, arrogant, and disrespectful, telling me "I have never seen you before" (true, but completely immaterial) and "I don't usually have patients telling me what to do."

In the end, he was unwilling to perform the procedure I had agreed to. I decided not to have him perform the procedure I had not agreed to.

As I was leaving, I learned that because I had had the nerve to ask to discuss my erroneously documented treatment with him before getting undressed, he told the nurse that he was moving my procedure to the end if the day. I had arrived as scheduled at 7 am.
