As a new patient of this doctor his bedside manner was far more than lacking. He is supposed to be a top doctor for female urology care. I’ve never had an experience like I had with this doctor. I waited 1 hour 45 minutes and he spent 3 minutes. Literally 3 minutes with me. He was dismissive as if I was wasting his time and not someone who was paying for his care and have legit concerns about my health. He prescribed me meds without really telling me what they were for or how to use them. One of the front receptionists had to call back to him to ask guidance on what he wanted me to do. He scheduled me to come back in 6 weeks. I plan to find a new doctor but I almost want to go to him just to give him a good piece of my mind and let him know to at least show more care and concern. If you are female with urology issues, I’d suggest going elsewhere.

Dr. Chiaramonte refused to respond to questions about a CT scan which included my liver--a vital organ- and part of the CT scan he ordered. I had moved out of his area and when I got the CT scan showing alarming results, I called his office several times; and asked him to send me a letter saying if the growth was of importance. He never responded; finally I asked my insurance company to request he send me a letter, which is legal in MD, telling me if the growth was significant and requiring further testing. AS a Senior I have to watch my copays; but he didn't even respond to the insurance company's request. He is the first doctor in my life that had the greed to charge a late fee each month overdue. I finally paid but I was withholding payment because I beleive he did not honor his oath, taken when he graduated from medical school, to do no harm; and he put money before my health. I believe it was clear that he was not going to tell me anything unless I paid for another visit to his office; because legally he was allowed to send me a note in the mail; which would have taken a minute or less.

He is an excellent urologist. I have been going to him for 16 years. Anytime I think I am having a problem, I can get in the same day. He has taken great care of my and my one kidney. He is very knowledgeable and thorough. Some say his bedside manner is not the best, but personally I like him. He has been a great provider for myself and I highly recommend going to him!!! His staff is great! Felicia, Rhonda, and Wendy are very nice.
