Based on my recent experience I do not recommend Dr. Ellis as your family doctor.

I've been going to Physician's Associates for almost 10 years, and consistently had bad service... Showing up to an appointment on time only to wait for an hour or more to see the doctor. The front desk people are very rude. My doctor, Dr Ellis, was always friendly and helpful but is surrounded by an incompetent staff.

On top of this, they regularly held up my prescriptions until I came in for generic "check ups". Totally unnecessary for the types of medication I'm on.

At my last appointment, I was running a few minutes late so called the front desk. This apparently put me in queue behind every other patient, and I waited 90 minutes before I gave up and left. I've now switched practices to one that was highly regarded.

I highly recommend others STAY AWAY from this place.

Dr. Ellis always seems a bit rushed. She charges (and requires) a "meet and greet" before she will see you for a physical which she charges upwards of $100 for. Her billing department is also incompetent and will make you spend hours on the phone with the insurance agency when they are responsible for incorrectly billing your appointment.

I showed up and hour before my appointment and the front desk lady gave me some attitude about it so I left. A couple months later they sent me a bill for $70 for not showing up to my appointment. That was not very considerate of them. I explained my case to the office manager and was told the next day that Dr Ellis herself would rather lose a patient (me) rather than waive a $70 fee. Very disappointing for someone who has taken the Hippocratic Oath.
