This was a tremendously frustrating visit. The doctor’s adult daughter works as the receptionist and she also functions as something of a nurse, but she clearly has no medical experience whatsoever. It was embarrassing as someone with an eating disorder for her daughter to casually make comments about my weight during the check in process. The practice itself looks like someone’s house, you’re required to enter through the back in a store room, and the entire place comes off as sort of dumpy. The doctor was extraordinarily unprofessional. She spoke negatively about other patients and it made me wonder how she’d speak about me. Thankfully she didn’t use names. The most frustrating part was that I’d already had the condition diagnosed by another physician but I had to switch because of insurance. Dr. Exley insisted I start the process all over and wanted me to have nearly a year and several visits with her for testing before she’d consider treating the issue. This was a fungal infection, not something serious. The whole thing struck me as a scam to bill insurance as many times as possible. I would strongly encourage people to avoid this office and find one with licensed, professional, and ethical staff.
