My encounter with Dr Covey was by far the worst experience of my life with any doctor in any specialty. Rude. Dismissive. Unfriendly. Overtly snide about the opinion of another specialist that was the reason we were seeking his care in the first place because he didn't agree with that doctor's opinion about the risks of the medication he wanted to use--a medication we could easily have gotten from our primary care physician if we had wanted to use it with the risks that our neurologist identified in our situation. "Perhaps your neurologist would like to practice psychiatry." I was not about to throw out the opinion of a specialist with whom we have a six-year relationship for the opinion of a doctor we met 12 minutes ago. No push back or questions allowed. When he said "You need another clinician," I was thinking, "You're right. One who listens and is willing to collaborate with fellow professionals."

Dr.Covey is by far the best Dr I have ever been to. He takes his time with you and makes sure you know every thing about a medication he is going to prescribe you and makes sure you are comfortable with taking it before he lets you leave the office and he tells you to call him if there are any issues with it like side effects. I had to do to that and he was understanding and made suggestions and then called it into the pharmacy right after he got off the phone with me. He has been patient with me while we both worked hard to find the best combo to work with my Bi-polar type 2 and depression. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr.Covey to anyone looking for some help. I have never had a better Doctor take care of me and take the time to make sure I was doing ok even if I did not have an appointment.The office staff is great and easy to work with and everyone is very friendly and understanding at takes the time to take care of you! not just hustle you and and out.
