I’ve been going to Oakland Hills Dermatology for several years and I am absolutely certain there is not a better, more discreet, or effective cosmetic and medical dermatology group in Michigan.

The entire staff is efficient and gracious. The doctor, nurses and aestheticians are highly skilled and knowledgeable. They perform procedures that are gentle, appropriate, and tailored to your specific skin issue.

I truly cannot recommend this beautiful office (which can be a spa day in itself considering the amount of services that are offered).

Whatever your dermatological needs, there is an expert on staff who can provide you with the medical and/or cosmetic treatment that is appropriate for you. It is a 5 star!

Warning this is long!!
Last August I was recommended by my doctor who had been treating spider veins on my legs for several years to go see Dr. Buatti and finish up some superficial work with laser treatments that the injections would not reach because of my type of veins. I scheduled the appt. and absolutely loved the staff and how sweet and friendly they were. I was about to make the biggest mistake ever with cosmetic fixes.
Did my consult,discussed cost, received my instructions and set up a future appt. for several weeks in advance based on what I needed to do on my end prior to treatment.
I arrived for appt. staff that went over my initial consult did not seem to remember what my procedure was for and was discussing something different then what we both talked about. I became agitated because I had prepped for the laser treatment and it was the only reason I booked with them, ( My Dr. did not do laser work) The assistant apologized and went to check my records, came back and stated that it was recorded wrong in system by receptionist. We cleared that up and proceeded. Assistant took pictures of before treatment, discussed payment and gave me a higher price then had originally been given. I questioned her and again she went back and checked, came into the room and said " We are actually offering a special right now so, you are in luck", I asked if I could prepay while the special was going on because I knew I would need a few treatments to access all areas. I was told yes. I did.
If you have ever done laser then you know it can be painful. I had it done on one small area for tattoo removal 15 years ago and had no idea of the protocol so I trusted that it would feel unpleasant. The young girl proceeded to zap me repeatedly in block areas all down my shin and legs and it was painful! I kept telling myself to suck it up and deal with it. The young girl went over some areas multiple times in one spot and I thought I was going to die (Not really, but my point is made).
after the procedure was done, my legs were on FIRE!!! she said after 15 minutes It would simmer to just a tingle, no worries. I was in the room for at least an hour, crying. They kept checking on me giving me water and ice to help with the pain and I felt like a burden because the office was closing and I didn't think I could drive a mile home, I couldn't see straight it was so painful. Texted my daughter to see if she would come get me and then decided to, again suck it up, and make a dash to my car in 80 degree temp with my legs on fire and AC blowing the whole way home. Within an hour huge blisters began to formulate and I thought maybe this is normal and I need to wait. I spent the night with a fan blowing on me and did not move in fear of the pain. Next morning I awoke to more severe blisters, and it progressed over the course of 3 days. I called the Dr. next day, they had me come in at my earliest ability and was called in a prescription to treat severe burns that cost me $100.00 on top of procedure. I went in 2 days after because the pain had subsided and at this point there was nothing to back track on. I went into the office and was asked a million questions regarding what I may have done to create this outcome, the young lady that did the procedure never came into the room to go over her methods with the doctor
( My thought was to not discriminate and say or do the wrong thing for liability reasons) instead the Dr. Buatti was asking me what had happened! He told me that the setting was at its protocol settings and it could not have been on their part, or so he infurred. I did have the receptionist check on me a few times via phone for a couple days.
I called to ask for a refund on payment as well as all pre-payed services not yet rendered and was told that after I signed a refund request that they would be happy to. I then received in the mail a no fault and pardon slip of any action taken for me to sign, that was the only way to gain a refund. It has been 11 months and the burns have healed but I have pigment discoloration in many areas as well as burn scars all down my legs. I can not tan in those areas leaving square white discolored patches all down my legs. After almost 12 years of vein treatments this was the last phase of me having pretty legs for shorts and skirts. Now I have even worse insecurities because my legs are blotchy and it can't be corrected as far as I have been told and its clear that something went wrong as opposed to a hereditary situation that I was getting treatment for. I am so distraught and disappointed at the disservice and lack of accountability that they demonstrated as well as performance done by staff that was not knowledgeable in the service provided and did not test an area prior to going to town on both my legs.

Dr. Buatti is an excellent doctor. Saw him on 17 September while I was visiting my sister in rochester Hills from Newfoundland Canada. Dr. Buatti was knowledgeable, kind and caring. He has a great concern not only for his profession but for his patients as well. I would recommend him highly.

Top rated staff and physicians! Dr. Buatti took his time with me, was thorough, and knowledgeable. His PA Jessica was excellent in recommending a daily skin care, regimen, did not feel like she was up selling me and I am always getting comments how great my skin looks now!

Dr. Buatti is AMAZING! I can't say enough good things about him and his wonderful staff. He saved my life!!!! After treating with another doctor for 6 months for eczema on my left breast that wasn't going away, I decided to see Dr. Chris Buatti. He did a biopsy and confirmed what he had suspected that I had paget's disease of the nipple and NOT eczema as diagnosed by the other doctor. HE called U of M and scheduled an appointment for me to be seen immediately! He saved my life!!!! Thank you so so much!!!!! I only wish I would have gone to Dr. Buatti when I first had the problem. He is truly fantastic!

Dr. Buatti was able to get rid of my acne. I'm working now with his Esthetician to clear the acne scars with Microneedling. I highly recommend this office, they have all the knowledge and up to date procedures to take care of any skin issue you have.

Dr. Buatti and his staff have been wonderful. My wife has been seeing him for about 1 year for treatment of psoriasis and he has been successful in clearing almost 100% of it. She is no longer embarrassed to wear short skirts and short sleeve blouses. Thank you so much for making such a difference in her life!
