Dr. Baltz was my psychiatrist when I was in graduate school, and he is the best psychiatrist I have ever had. He has a warm personality and always made me feel comfortable and like I could tell him what was going on with my moods and my life. His main purpose was to prescribe my medication, but he would also talk with me some about any problem I was having. He is extremely knowledgeable and will explain to you what he is doing and why he is doing it. He asks for your input too. At one point during my treatment I started explaining some recurring symptoms to him, and he said they did not sound psychiatric in nature, but hormonal, and referred me to an endocrinologist (it was a hormonal imbalance). No doctor before him had even thought of this. Anyway, Dr. Baltz helped me tremendously the three years I was able to see him.
