he was the only surgeon that would actually listen to me... 2 other surgeons actually said... some people get cancer some people have bad backs... at the time my back was fractured from 2 previous fusions and I had 4 blood clots... I said to these drs.. u just gave me a death sentence... dr schlifka and his great staff set me up with an operation date... in the meantime I had a pulmonary embolism and infarction from not being able to me.... this set back surgery 6 weeks...in most cases it could have been up to 6 months..... he did a 6 level fusion with rods and screws... thank god for him! in 18 months he did that surgery, surgery on left arm to stop numbness in left hand... that had been misdiagnosed by a few drs... also surgery to place a spinal cord stimulator in my back... he is extremely intelligent, speaks to u like a peer. I will be undergoing another new procedure this fall.. the s-1 joint fusion to pelvic area.. a new procedure only done by him in the Wyoming valley

Dr. Schlifka is a great doctor. I would recommend him to everyone that may need his help. because of him i get to live a better life.

Dr Schlifa performed surgery on me after a ski accident where I belew out my t12 and l1. For 2 yrs I expressed concern that my back was getting worse instead of better and for 2 yrs i was told my back was healing and was perscribed more pain medication. I finally left the area and went to NYC for a second opinion where i learned, my fusiion did noit take and my hardware was free floating in my back. After losing 5 vert. instaed of 2, 2 ribs and part of my hip in addition to being a recovering addict beacuse of the drugs this Dr. perscribed me for 2 yrs I am finally recovering. I lost 2 yrs of my life bacsue of this man. Please take my comments to heart and stay away from thos doctor.
