Dr. Owings is very good to me. I've been seeing him a couple of years now. I had some issues with the first anti-depressant he had me on, partly my fault. It started out working then didn't seem to be, he inc erased dosage which made me feel like I didn't care about anything. I addressed that with him, he changed the medicine and have felt great since. He listens to what I say to him & he gives me a printout of every medication I'm takin, no matter who's prescribing it and I get that printed copy at every visit. I don't deal with nurses. Just receptionist and she's always been more than helpful.

Diagnosed my schizophrenic mother as bipolar. Her sister is schizophrenic and her great aunt is also. She was having hallucinations and delusions, which he said were common with bipolar.... 20 years later, she had been diagnosed as schizophrenic by 3 different doctors, and if she had gotten the right type of care from this idiot, the first dr she saw for her condition, her life would most likely be different. THIS DR IS A JOKE. READ ALL OF HIS NEGATIVE REVIEWS. SAVE YOURSELF SOME MONEY AND BUY A DOG! THIS DR NEEDS HIS LICENSE REVOKED!!!

THIS DR COULD CARE LESS ABOUT YOUR WELL BEING, HEALTH, OR ANYTHING ELSE OTHER THAN THE MONEY HE MAKES OFF YOU. THIS IDIOT PRESCRIBED ME MEDICINE WHEN HE DOESN'T EVEN KNOW WHAT MY PRIMARY DR HAS ME ON. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AND COULD BE DEADLY. ALL HE WANTED IS TO GET ME OUT THE DOOR. HE IS EMOTIONLESS LIKE A ZOMBIE PHYSIOLOGIST. I TRULY NEEDED GOOD ADVICE AND GUIDANCE AND GOT TREATED LIKE A COW IN A STOCK YARD. I WILL NEVER GO BACK AND ADVISE YOU NEVER MAKE THE MISTAKE OF SETTING AN APPT.

I am shocked to see the previous, negative remarks about Dr Owings. I have seen other doctors in the past, and all they did was rush me out the door to get to the next patient. Never really wanted to listen. Not only did Dr Owings listen to what I had to say, but he made a true effort to get to know my, my past/history and feelings. I feel as though he asks the right questions to get to root of the issues. I have been seeing him for 6 months now and I have no intentions of changing to new doctor. I highly recommend him to anyone!!

What's with the negative review? I was little hesitant at first due to the older posts, but by a friend said Dr Owings was great so I gave it a try. The visit length was about the right length. I felt like he was very competent and confident in prescribing treatment. My previous doctor was unwilling to try any medication. Dr. Owings got me a plan and I finally feel that my concerns are being addressed. I'm four months out from my last vist and I think I am really improving.

Professional and easy to work with. I've been going to Dr. Owings for 3 years and have had a satisfactory time.

Incredibly bad psychiatrist. As little as he cares for his patients, I'm surprised he has a practice.

Avoid this doctor at all costs. Not only will you enjoy his silent presence, but you will also enjoy his total lack of interest in your condition. After he drugs you and pushes ECT (if you're at Bridgeway), you'll continue to enjoy this hack's complete lack of interest in your pathology. Horrible, horrible psychiatrist. Should consider another line of work.

Seemed to keep me drugged out. Didn't seem to listen to my concerns. I changed doctors in the same clinic - Dr. Duong Nguyen and am very happy with him. He has helped me a lot.
