Finally, after 8+ years of constant pelvic prolapse pain, and years of seeking assistance from several specialists in Ft Collins, I am now pain free thanks to Dr. Keil’s expertise! Because of her experience, certification, and knowledge about the pelvic floor, she was able to repair my prolapse and determine a course of action that has relieved me of pain that I had previously been told I would have to live with for the rest of my life. Words can not express how grateful I am!

Dr. Kristi Keil is a recognized expert in her field. I can say from personal experience which involved comprehensive surgery that she is a truly talented surgeon as well as a caring and compassionate person. While everyone’s results are individual…I had a quicker than expected recovery, minimal pain, almost no scars. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr Keil.

Dr. Keil is my angel. Years ago, I had successful rectal and vaginal surgery, but the prolapse eventually broke through and was becoming an infection risk and quality of life concern. Because of my complicated auto-immune related medical history my doctors were hesitant to have the repair done again. My GP referred me to Dr. Keil as the best person in Colorado to deal with my condition. She studied my history, consulted with my doctors, and we tried possible remedies other than surgery. Ultimately we decided that surgery was the only option. I felt I was in excellent and caring hands. My surgery has been a success and has greatly improved my daily living. I continue to see Dr. Keil whenever I have questions. Dr. Keil and her office are thoroughly professional. I highly recommend that you consult with her if you are having concerns.

Stay away from this doctor!!! She is uncaring and unprofessional. She does not even explain the upcoming surgery because "you wouldn't understand." She does way more than necessary during surgery, I suspect to drive up charges. She is mean and bullying. I had an abdominal sacrocolpopexy. She scheduled my presurgery office visit just a couple days before my surgery which didn't allow me to get the approval of my PCP. Even though I did not have a cystocele or rectocele, she took a "tuck" which has caused me pain ever since. She also removed my cervix unnecessarily, I believe for sale purposes to increase her profits. Those who have said they chose another doctor are the smart and fortunate ones.

Dr. Keil is amazing and helped me after a failed procedure by another doctor. If you are looking for an experienced, excellent doctor I highly recommend Dr. Keil. She literally changed my life from what seemed like a hopeless situation. She is no-nonsense, provided the available options did a great job addressing the situation.

I have nothing but praise for Dr. Keil. She was very descriptive on the procedure I needed done, and provided me resources to research the process and products she would be using on me. When it was time for my surgery, the staff and Medical Center were very caring and attentive to my needs.

I think Dr. Keil is arrogant and is a poor surgeon and misrepresents the risks involved. Dr. Keil caused me several serious complications and had to have an emergency surgery (another surgeon) and a a third surgery to remove an improperly installed bladder sling that I did not need but was talked into. I wish I had gone to a different urogynecologist in the first place.

Very disappointed. Had pelvic floor prolapse surgery (July 2015) and bladder sling installed. Within 2 weeks extreme pain (causing vomiting) occurred in the abdomen and Dr Kiel gave me a prescription for the vomiting. However, the pain was caused by a herniated intestine and I had to have an emergency surgery to fix the area where the bowel exits the pelvic floor which almost resulted in having a portion of the intestine removed (if any more time had passed). This was due to improper stitching of the pelvic floor in that spot. About 4 weeks after the original surgery a very strong continuous urge to urinate (even with an empty bladder) started. I am very concerned that the bladder sling is pressing into my urethra causing inflammation and this constant irritation. A bit of background: Dr. Kiel glossed over any possible complications regarding the prolapse surgery during the first visit. I mentioned that I was very concerned regarding what one hears on the news about mesh implants. Dr Kiel assured my husband and I that these complications only occur with older mesh types and installing it vaginally so that would not be a problem. The day before surgery my husband, my daughter and myself met with Dr Kiel and she recommended the bladder sling stating that it would be better to do it now to kill two birds with one stone. The reason the sling was recommended is that she felt that after the surgery that I would have stress incontinence indicated by her tests performed prior. I had never had a problem with this before. No mention of any complications or risks regarding the sling were discussed. (However, in the surgery report, Dr, Kiel stated she explained the risks and complications in detail.) During this meeting Dr Kiel appeared annoyed at any comments and questions we had and appeared rushed. Recently, after the fact, I did the research I should have done before the surgery and had I known that the bladder sling (incidentally was an outpatient surgery that could have been done at a later date) had so many risks and complications, I would never have agreed to the bladder sling.
A very unhappy and stressed out patient. (Sept 29,2015)
