Like the others, I started going to Dr. Shively over 30 years ago after my girlfriend recommended him. She knew I feared shots etc. She assured me I would like him. Two years ago I moved to Oregon but twice a year I drive back to see my family, tax accountant , and Dr. Shively. Eventually I'll have to leave for another dentist in Oregon...but not yet, lol.

Dr Shively has been my dentist for over 37 years! Wonderful work. I went to another Dentist only once (only because the insurance carrier at the time allowed only certain dentists) Came right back immediately. Cindy the office manager is amazing and so knowledgeable and easy work with! Recommend!

Dr. Shively has been my dentist for over 20 years. I would not go to anyone else! Just last week, I had to have a crown. Actually, Dr. Shively was able to repair my tooth with a "partial crown". My experience was very similar to the other reviewer. Dr. Shively has a state-of -the-art machine that makes porcelain crowns in his office - while you are there. No more do you have to wear an annoying temporary crown. Within just over two hours, I was leaving this office. Dr. Shively's office is state of the art, the office staff is friendly and welcoming, you never wait over a few minutes. Dr. Shively himself is a caring, patient doctor, who walks you through each step of your procedure. I cannot recommend Dr. Shively enough!

I've been a patient of Dr. Shively's for more than 15 years. Before Dr. Shively I used to have a fear of dentist. I have been forever cured. Broke a corner off a molar the other day and they were able to see me almost immediately (OK, so I had to wait 2 days). By the end of the day I had a new (NEW, not a temporary) crown over my tooth. THEY MADE IT IN THE OFFICE WHILE I WATCHED! From the moment my tooshie hit the massaging chair to the moment I walked out the door -- 3 hours later -- I had not one moment of pain. Even when the good doc gave me my numbing shot I felt nothing. And the crown is beautiful. Looks exactly like all my other teeth. There's nothing fake looking here. I'm telling you. He's good. I'm a happy girl. As for punctuality: I never have to wait in their waiting room. They're always on time and value my time as much as I value theirs.
